Villa Diletta Luxor

I only stayed for two nights at Villa Diletta Luxor, but I wish I could’ve extended my trip! The apartment was spacious, affordable, and spotlessly clean—perfect for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It’s located just steps away from the local ferry and other river crossings, which gave me a great sense of independence and made exploring the city so easy. The street itself is full of great restaurants, ATMs are nearby, and the area feels safe and welcoming. The hosts were incredibly kind, responsive, and helpful throughout my visit. This was by far my favorite accommodation in Luxor—I’d highly recommend it to anyone traveling to the city.

Villa Sunrise

I couldn’t have asked for a more magical stay at Villa Sunrise. From the moment I arrived, Mohamed and his team made me feel like part of the family—warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive throughout my entire visit. They arranged an incredible local guide, Refaie, who took me on a fascinating tour of nearby temples and tombs, sharing rich history and insider stories along the way. One highlight was the unforgettable felucca ride on the Nile, where we enjoyed a fresh, delicious lunch cooked over an open fire, followed by a breathtaking sunset that painted the sky in golden hues. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, while the on-site café offers a fantastic mix of Egyptian and international dishes at very reasonable prices. And don’t even get me started on the view from the upper terrace—overlooking the Nile and Luxor Temple, it’s absolutely stunning and hard to beat. Villa Sunrise isn’t just a hotel; it’s a true gem tucked away on the West Bank. I’ll definitely be back.

Royal Apartments Luxor

This stay at Royal Apartments Luxor was by far my favorite among all the places I stayed in Egypt. The apartment itself was spotless—every corner was clean and well-maintained, more than any other place I’ve visited. The rooftop area is incredible: peaceful, spacious, and with amazing views over the city and Nile. I spent many evenings up there just relaxing and enjoying the sunset. The staff and owner went above and beyond—kind, welcoming, and always ready to help without being pushy. It felt less like a hotel and more like staying with family. Their hospitality made the trip even more memorable. If you're visiting Luxor, this is a must-book. Truly exceptional value and comfort.

What truly stood out was the authentic local vibe—being surrounded by friendly Egyptians added such a special touch to our experience. It’s not just a hotel; it’s a genuine cultural immersion. Iberotel Luxor

Staying at Iberotel Luxor was a highlight of our trip to Luxor. Located right at the end of the main hotel street, it’s just steps away from the scenic Nile River promenade on the East Bank, with plenty of dining options nearby. The Winter Palace and Luxor Temple are both within a 10-minute walk—perfect for morning strolls. While Karnak Temple is a bit farther, a short taxi ride (about 10 minutes, around 50 EGP) gets you there quickly. The room was spacious, and while the furnishings were a bit dated, everything was clean and well-maintained—especially the bedding. The mattress was firm and supportive, not one of those sinking-in types, which made for a great night’s sleep. Breakfast was easily the best we had in Egypt—far more variety than at other hotels we’ve stayed at, including the famous Old Falls Hotel. It’s a real gem in terms of value and location, and I’d definitely return without hesitation.

Sofitel Winter Palace Luxor

住過無數酒店,這間真的超出預期!盧克索索菲特冬宮酒店簡直像從歷史畫卷走出來一樣,氣派又典雅。雖然設施不算最新,但整體乾淨度一流,每一個角落都打理得井井有條。最驚喜係電梯——復古設計超有味道,搭一次就上癮!花園更唔一般,佈局用心,香氣撲鼻的印度茉莉花、高大嘅仙人掌,竟然仲有孔雀同火烈鳥在園內悠閒漫步,真係好似置身於埃及皇室後花園。早餐絕對值回票價,食材新鮮,選擇多到眼花撩亂,服務員態度熱情,連熱拿鐵都係今次埃及之旅喝過最好嘅一杯!晚上仲可以試下酒店嘅香檳,氣泡細緻,層次豐富,真心推薦一定要試一試。性價比高,住一次就知!」},{

The morning view of hot air balloons floating over the desert is absolutely breathtaking—worth waking up early just for that moment. The hotel’s location is excellent, right near major attractions and easy to get around by public transport. Royal House Hotel

Staying at Royal House Hotel was a great experience, especially for its convenient location near the Egyptian Museum—walking distance to many key sights. While the room decor is simple, it’s clean and comfortable enough for a relaxing night’s sleep. The highlight? The street vendor right outside offering authentic Egyptian sandwiches—delicious, affordable, and such a local favorite. It's also just a short walk from the popular Kazaz spot, making dining out super easy. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly—they helped me book a taxi at a fair price, which made getting around town hassle-free. I highly recommend trying Kazaz for both their food and refreshing drinks; everything tasted fresh, and the prices were very reasonable. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value and a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for travelers looking for comfort and convenience in Luxor.

Pavillon Winter Luxor

Staying at Pavillon Winter Luxor by Sofitel was an absolute highlight of my trip to Egypt. The cleanliness blew me away—hands down the cleanest hotel I've stayed in across the country. The linens were soft and comfortable, and I slept like a baby for several nights straight. The staff were incredibly attentive and always greeted guests with a warm smile—no robotic service here. There's security and screening at the entrance, which made me feel safe right from arrival. Stepping into the hotel felt like entering another world—completely different from the bustling streets outside. The air was fresh, the gardens beautifully landscaped, and the balcony offered perfect spots to relax and enjoy the views. While the facilities aren’t quite on par with top-tier international five-star standards, they’re absolutely excellent for Egypt’s hospitality scene. Hot showers were fantastic, and the air conditioning kept the room comfortably cool even during the heat. Overall, it’s a standout choice with great value—perfect for travelers seeking comfort, cleanliness, and a peaceful retreat in Luxor.

Amon Hotel

Staying at Amon Hotel in Luxor felt like stepping into a peaceful oasis amidst the bustling city. From the moment I arrived, the attention to detail in the design was immediately apparent—elegant, thoughtful, and full of character. The breakfast was exceptional: fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully curated with local flavors that truly stood out. My favorite part? The spacious garden just outside my window—opening it up let in a gentle breeze filled with greenery and serenity. In the evenings, they light a cozy bonfire, and sitting by it sipping tea or coffee while watching the stars come out was pure bliss. The pool area is beautifully landscaped and perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the temples. The staff are warm, welcoming, and always ready to help without being intrusive. Despite being close to the city center, the hotel feels secluded and tranquil—a true escape. Every little touch shows passion and care. This isn’t just a place to stay; it’s an experience. Al Hambra Hotel

Located in a quiet village on the West Bank of Luxor, this hotel is definitely not for those seeking convenience or nearby dining options—meals are mostly limited to the hotel’s own offerings. The breakfast at 150 EGP per person wasn’t great and not worth the price, so we skipped it entirely. Room conditions were dated, though functional, and the bathroom shower setup was underwhelming. Noise from neighboring rooms was noticeable, especially since one adjacent door seemed locked and inaccessible. That said, the real highlights here are the value and unique charm. The small courtyard is incredibly photogenic and perfect for capturing that authentic Luxor vibe. From the rooftop, you can catch breathtaking views of hot air balloons floating over the Nile at sunrise—truly unforgettable. Dinner options are reasonably priced and satisfying, making it easy to eat onsite without breaking the bank. Overall, if you're budget-conscious, don’t mind basic amenities, and appreciate a peaceful setting with a touch of local character, this place offers solid value. It’s not luxurious, but it gets the job done—and for travelers focused on experiences rather than comfort, it’s a decent pick.
