This was my first hotel in Istanbul, and I arrived late at 11 PM—yet the front desk still had an English-speaking staff member ready to assist. That level of service made a great impression right from the start. Upon checking in, I noticed there was only a blanket instead of a duvet in the room, so I mentioned it downstairs. They promptly brought one up without any hassle—very responsive and accommodating. While some hotels in Turkey do skip the duvet, this wasn’t the case with others I stayed at later, so it’s not a universal practice here. The breakfast is served on the rooftop, and honestly, grab a window seat if you can—views of the Bosphorus are absolutely stunning. Occasionally, seagulls would fly by and peek over your shoulder while you eat (just don’t feed them!). I chose the same spot for both mornings, sipping coffee and watching the boats glide by—it was pure relaxation. Right outside the hotel, just a quick crosswalk away, is the iconic Halic Metro Station—the famous floating train stop. It’s worth a visit for photos and to hop on the metro for a scenic ride into the historic district. Overall, I found that newer area hotels like this one tend to offer more space and better value than those in the old town.
