The location is unbeatable, and the service was friendly and efficient. If you're looking for a great base in San Diego that combines convenience, charm, and value, this hotel is a top pick. I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this hotel. I booked a weekend stay and canceled four days in advance, only to be denied a refund of my $119 deposit. What made it worse was that after three weeks of back-and-forth communication—providing my credit card details, call dates, cancellation confirmation, even screenshots—they finally claimed there was a 'no-refund' policy. I had specifically asked about cancellation terms when booking, yet it took nearly a month to get this information. I repeatedly requested to speak with a manager, but never received any contact details or follow-up. It's shocking how a business operates without transparency or accountability. We had planned to make this hotel our go-to during frequent visits since our son attends SDSU, but now we’ll never return. This is not the kind of experience you want from a place you’re supposed to trust. I strongly advise against staying here.
