The room is compact, similar in size to an Ibis, but it’s smartly designed and feels surprisingly spacious for its dimensions. What really stands out is the location: just a 5-minute walk to Cockle Bay and Darling Harbour, making it perfect for exploring the area on foot. The hotel is clean, well-maintained, and the room was comfortable with a good-quality bed and reliable air conditioning. Despite the small size, it's ideal for travelers who prioritize convenience and location over space. Friendly staff, quiet surroundings, and easy access to restaurants, shops, and attractions make this a great choice. I’d definitely stay here again.

The front desk staff, a friendly woman with short-medium hair who speaks Chinese, made the experience even more welcoming—she was so helpful and attentive. I had planned to stay longer, but my schedule changed unexpectedly, so I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye—felt a little sad about that! The location is perfect: quiet, close to the airport, and easy to reach via public transport if you’re heading into Sydney. Highly recommend this place to friends and family—especially if you want comfort, space, and great value without sacrificing quality.

The room was clean, well-maintained, and had everything I needed, though I did have to bring my own toothbrush and toothpaste (but that’s no big deal—there’s a Coles supermarket in the mall just steps away). I booked the city view room because I love having a window, and while there is a compressor unit outside, it’s not loud enough to be bothersome. I actually enjoyed watching the street life from my window. Overall, this hotel offers great value and a comfortable stay—definitely a top pick for anyone visiting Sydney.

I went to reception the next day and asked for extra blankets, which made a big difference. If you’re sensitive to cold, definitely ask for more bedding upfront. One thing worth noting: check-in is not on the ground floor. It’s located on the 6th floor, tucked away near a cross corridor—follow the signs carefully. Take the elevator up to floor 6, turn right, then walk about 20 meters. Once checked in, head to your assigned room using the building’s navigation system. Despite the slightly confusing process, the staff made it worth it. The Korean front desk team were incredibly friendly and helpful—always smiling, quick to respond, and genuinely committed to solving any issues. Room cleanliness was excellent too. Overall, this place offers great value for money, especially if you're looking for a clean, safe, and welcoming base in Sydney without breaking the bank.

Perfect for a family getaway! We stayed in a spacious 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom suite that comfortably accommodated our family of four. The room was incredibly well-equipped—washing machine and dryer combo, ample closet space with plenty of hangers, a full kitchen including oven, microwave, complete cookware (pots, pans, utensils, cutting boards), and even a dishwasher. They even stocked vitamin C supplements—such a thoughtful touch for families. The lobby area is fantastic too: board games, coffee machine, and tea service make it a great spot for kids to relax while parents unwind. Location-wise, everything we needed was within walking distance—just 1.1 km to St. Mary’s Cathedral, Hyde Park, and the Australian Museum. A supermarket is about 800 meters away, perfect for grabbing fresh fruit or snacks. And during Christmas, they surprised us with candy and festive socks—so sweet and memorable! If we ever return to Sydney, this will be our top choice again.

Ibis Budget St Peters
I chose a ground-floor room because I wanted air conditioning, but the space was quite compact and the view from the curtains just showed the parking lot—definitely not ideal. This is the first Ibis Budget property I’ve stayed at where the experience felt underwhelming. The toilet didn’t have a lid, the shower area lacked proper ventilation so it stayed damp after use, and water pressure was extremely low—taking a shower felt like waiting for a trickle. Also, the bathroom faucet made an annoying high-pitched noise as soon as it was turned on. While the location is convenient for public transport, these issues really dragged down the overall value. It’s disappointing for a brand that usually offers solid basics. Not something I’d book again without significant improvements.
