Stayed at Lujiang Mega Hotel during New Year's in Xiamen and was completely blown away by the experience. The location is unbeatable—right next to Zhenzhu Bay Beach, perfect for families with kids who love digging in the sand and enjoying the sea breeze on a bike ride. The balcony offered stunning sea views—perfect for watching the sunrise and sunset. It’s also very convenient for getting around; we took the metro to explore nearby spots without any hassle. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, so dining options were excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We were hoping to use the Zhuyanji photography pass, but unfortunately it was fully booked when we tried to reserve it (you need to book at least one day in advance). Still, despite that small disappointment, the quality of the stay made up for it. Highly recommend this hidden gem if you're looking for a peaceful yet well-connected getaway.

The nearby ring-island bus is an absolute game-changer—direct access to every popular beach spot with no transfers needed. In Xiamen, hailing a taxi can be frustratingly difficult, so this bus saved me more than once. Service-wise, I was lucky to interact with a male manager during both nights—he was genuinely warm, professional, and clearly well-trained. On day one, he even offered to upgrade my room, which was thoughtful, but honestly, his demeanor alone would stand out at any five-star hotel. The front desk staff the next morning didn’t quite match that level of care, though. And when I called midday to request a late check-out, the young lady who answered was incredibly kind, patient, and pleasant—her tone made the whole experience better. The only downside? Breakfast was a bit underwhelming compared to the rest of the excellent stay. Still, everything else was top-notch—great value, amazing location, and unforgettable service.
