During New Year’s holiday, the hotel was nearly full with families traveling with kids, which made for some evening noise that even good soundproofing couldn’t fully block out—disrupted my sleep significantly. I also have a sensitive stomach, so lack of rest only worsened things, and I couldn’t handle heavy or greasy meals. That’s when the team stepped in with kindness: they proactively arranged a room transfer to the quieter Water Pavilion area, which made such a difference. To top it off, they brought me a warm bowl of soft, comforting congee with light side dishes right before bedtime. It wasn’t just food—it felt like care. I’ve never felt more looked after during a stay. This level of thoughtful service is rare, and it completely turned my experience around. I’ll definitely be returning.

The lobby is on the third floor, and having luggage delivered straight to your room upon arrival was such a thoughtful touch. My room had a warm red palette paired with bamboo accents and herringbone wood flooring—very much rooted in Fujian style while still feeling luxurious and modern. Upon check-in, I was greeted with a complimentary minibar and fresh welcome fruit, and the Happy Hour offering a variety of salads, snacks, fruits, and local delicacies was a real highlight. I upgraded my room, and over three days, the service remained consistently attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. There was a minor hiccup during my stay, but my hostess Bettie handled it with remarkable sincerity—she apologized promptly, offered a small gift as a gesture of goodwill, and even included a local specialty. The location is perfect—walking distance to Bai Cheng Beach, Hulishan Fort, and the coastal road, with buses stopping right outside. The room was modern, clean, and well-maintained. I did have a minor issue during check-in, but Ashley from the concierge team handled it instantly and with such warmth and professionalism that it turned into a highlight of my stay. Breakfast was an absolute treat—especially the sate noodles, rich in flavor and served fresh every morning. I ended up eating them daily just to start the day right. This hotel offers excellent value and exceptional service. I’ll definitely be back.

Our New Year’s trip with my mom and grandmother was absolutely perfect. Since we were traveling with an 83-year-old, convenience and comfort were top priorities—especially easy access to public transit and rooms with two queen beds. After checking several options, the Sheraton Xiamen on Jiahua Road stood out as the ideal choice. It’s just a short walk from two metro stations, and there are bus stops nearby for easy access to various destinations. SM City Plaza is within walking distance—great for dining and shopping. Special thanks to Jerry for upgrading us to a quieter room at the end of the corridor; it was peaceful and noise-free, which made for excellent rest, especially for our elderly family members. Our booking included breakfast for two, but Jerry kindly arranged an extra breakfast for my grandmother—delicious and well-balanced, with authentic local flavors that changed slightly each day. The bathroom design was exceptional: spacious, functional, and completely leak-proof—a rare find! My mom and I were both truly impressed. This stay exceeded expectations in every way.

The balcony offered stunning sea views—perfect for watching the sunrise and sunset. It’s also very convenient for getting around; we took the metro to explore nearby spots without any hassle. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, so dining options were excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We were hoping to use the Zhuyanji photography pass, but unfortunately it was fully booked when we tried to reserve it (you need to book at least one day in advance). Still, despite that small disappointment, the quality of the stay made up for it. Highly recommend this hidden gem if you're looking for a peaceful yet well-connected getaway.
