Walking into Thirty on Grace, you're greeted with an open, welcoming atmosphere that feels more like a home than a hotel. The lush garden and sparkling pool create such a peaceful retreat right in the heart of Cape Town. Ros, the host, is absolutely wonderful—thoughtful, attentive, but never intrusive. She makes sure every need is met without ever overstepping. I loved the honesty bar—it’s so convenient and adds a nice touch of independence. The coffee machine is top-notch; perfect for morning brews. The rooms are spacious, beautifully furnished, and incredibly comfortable. It’s one of those places you instantly want to return to. Our group's stay at Savoy Lodge was easily the best hotel experience we've had in South Africa. The property is small but perfectly charming—clean, comfortable, and safe, with spacious rooms that made us feel right at home. A peaceful and quiet retreat in Cape Town, Selton Guest House offers a serene atmosphere perfect for unwinding. While we didn’t get a chance to swim due to the location being a bit further from the beach, the overall stay was excellent. The property is well-maintained, clean, and very welcoming. It’s also conveniently located for exploring the city—easy access to public transit and nearby attractions. Definitely a great choice if you’re looking for a calm, comfortable base while still being close to everything.
Future Found Sanctuary in Hout Bay by Newmark
Our final stop on a 3.5-week journey through the Western Cape was two nights at the Villa Verte section of this incredible retreat — and it truly lived up to every expectation. The property is split into three distinct areas, with the recent addition of two forest pods (definitely booking those next time). Our room in Villa Verte was spacious and featured a generous balcony overlooking the lush canopy below — perfect for morning coffee or evening stargazing. While the room itself is impressive, the real magic lies in the overall experience: staying here feels like rewinding your clock, slowing down, and truly disconnecting. Choose between two pools — one at Villa Verte, another at Maison Noir — both inviting and beautifully set. Breakfast can be enjoyed at either location, and if you’re after a cup of coffee, just ask one of the staff (big thanks to Keith — always so attentive). We opted to dine in for dinner, and simply letting them know was all it took — they delivered a thoughtful menu and served us at the communal table in Maison Noir, creating a warm, shared atmosphere. Want a glass of bubbly? Keith or Prosper will happily oblige. The gym was surprisingly well-equipped — the first I’ve used on holiday that actually felt enjoyable. Steam room? Check. Massage? Yes, absolutely. And if you’re in the mood for something cozy, you can book the private cinema room, order fresh popcorn, and enjoy a movie with a chilled drink in hand. Pure bliss. Special shoutout to Andrew, the manager — his friendly, engaging personality and local tips made our trip even more memorable (we’re already planning a trip to the Karoo!). Two nights flew by like a week, and we even stepped out for dinner at La Colombe on our second night. This place isn’t just a stay — it’s a sanctuary. Without hesitation, we’ll be returning in 2026.

Communication with the team was excellent—prompt, friendly, and helpful throughout our entire stay. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Location is convenient, close to attractions and transport links, yet quiet enough to relax. It’s rare to find such a high-quality experience at this price point. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Cape Town—truly unforgettable.

Staying at Little House Villa was a pleasant experience overall. The location is very convenient, with easy access to downtown via public transit. The room was clean and well-decorated, creating a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. I did have a slight concern about noise affecting nearby guests, but the soundproofing was better than expected—definitely not an issue during my stay. It’s a great spot for travelers looking for comfort and value, and I’d definitely consider returning.

Especially grateful to the manager, Wilmo, who personally remembered our breakfast preferences—my husband doesn’t like eggs cooked the usual way, and Wilmo made sure they were prepared just right. That kind of thoughtful service makes all the difference. You can tell everyone here genuinely wants you to have a great stay. It’s not just about comfort—it’s about feeling welcomed and valued. Easy access to the city by public transit, excellent value, and unforgettable hospitality. Definitely coming back.
