My stay at The Colonnade Hotel was generally very pleasant. I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a suite for free—definitely a highlight of the trip, with plenty of space and comfort. The location is excellent, just steps away from public transport, and weekend parking on the street is a real plus for those driving. The hotel’s rich history adds character, and it’s great to stay in such a well-located property. However, breakfast was a bit disappointing. Only continental options were available, which wasn’t what I expected after looking forward to a full English breakfast. Normally, that would cost £15 per person, which feels overpriced for what’s offered—personally, I’d rather grab breakfast at a local café instead. Also, some areas of the hotel showed signs of wear and tear, which was a bit of a letdown given its prime location. Still, the overall experience was positive, especially for travelers who prioritize convenience and a central spot over lavish amenities.

There’s also a small, uncomfortable sofa facing the TV in the kitchen—hardly ideal for watching anything for long. That said, the location is excellent: close to Bayswater, Kensington Gardens, and bus stops. The neighborhood itself feels safe, quiet, and well-connected. Despite the minor drawbacks, it's a pleasant area and the overall value makes this a solid choice for travelers looking for convenience and charm.

We stayed for three nights at this property in Maida Vale, and we’d gladly return because it was such a pleasant experience. Our third-floor apartment featured two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with all the essentials—including a washing machine and dishwasher—plus a spacious living area and two bathrooms. The attention to detail in the furnishings was impressive, with beautiful wooden flooring and excellent soundproofing. One side of the unit overlooks a quiet garden, while the other faces the street, yet it remained remarkably peaceful. Chris, the property manager, was incredibly kind, helpful, and professional—he even shared some great local pub recommendations that added so much to our stay. The location is convenient, the space is comfortable, and the overall value is outstanding. Definitely a place I’d book again.

We booked a room through the platform expecting a street view, but upon arrival we were given a tiny basement unit with a fixed glass window facing a blank wall and an unpleasant smell. The discomfort was unbearable, and despite raising the issue at reception, we received no proper solution or assistance. No room change was offered, and the staff seemed unhelpful. This experience was far below expectations—especially for the price paid. I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone looking for comfort or basic service standards.
