My stay at NK Courtyard in Chennai was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, I was shocked to find that the room rate was different from what I had booked—additional ₹500 was charged right at the front desk with no prior notice. The hotel felt completely deserted; there were almost no guests or staff around, giving it a ghost-like atmosphere. The receptionist was extremely rude and unhelpful, making the entire check-in process unpleasant. The bed was uncomfortable, hard as stone, and the room itself felt outdated and poorly maintained. I ended up paying extra just to leave early in the evening. This experience was not worth the money or time. If you're looking for a decent, reliable stay in Chennai, avoid this property—it lacks basic hospitality and value for money.

That said, the property does show signs of wear and could benefit from a refresh or renovation to maintain its charm long-term. Still, with its serene setting, thoughtful service, and excellent location, it’s a solid choice for travelers looking for something authentic and off the beaten path.
