Super Hotel Premier Jr Nara Eki

Staying at this hotel was an absolute delight! The location is unbeatable—just step off the escalator from JR Nara Station and you're directly inside the hotel. It’s situated right at the main entrance of the station building, with two automatic doors to guide you, and you’ll head up to the 4th floor to reach the lobby. The room was spacious for a double booking—there was plenty of room to stretch out on the large bed, which was super comfortable (though slightly on the soft side). If you’re particular about mattress firmness, it might be worth noting. What really stood out was the thoughtful touches: they provide sleepwear and even let you choose your own pillow type to bring back to the room. The sleepwear itself is made from calming, sleep-enhancing fabric—such a nice detail that shows how much they care about guest relaxation. The on-site hot spring is clean, well-designed, and easy to navigate. While the pool isn’t huge, it’s very comfortable and relaxing. There’s a real-time display in the lobby showing hot spring usage, so you can avoid crowds and visit during quieter times. From 5 PM to 9 PM, there’s also complimentary tea and drinks available in the lounge—perfect for unwinding with a drink after a long day exploring Nara. Overall, the value for money, comfort, and attention to detail make this hotel a must-stay. Highly recommended!

Bakery Hotel Chateau D'or

Staying at the Bakery Hotel Chateau D'or in Nara was an absolute delight. The location is perfect—within walking distance to several popular Instagram-worthy spots, making it ideal for travelers who want to explore the city at their own pace. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well-maintained, with a cozy, home-like atmosphere that made us feel right at home. Breakfast was a highlight—freshly baked pastries and local flavors delivered in a delicious way. But what really stood out was the restaurant right next to the hotel. The menu was diverse, and every dish we tried was flavorful and well-prepared. We left already planning our next trip to Nara just so we could stay here again. This place offers excellent value and a truly memorable experience—definitely a top choice for anyone visiting Nara.

Hotel Asyl Nara

Staying at Hotel Asyl Nara was an absolute highlight of my trip to Nara. The location is perfect—right in the heart of the city, making it super easy to explore major attractions like Nara Park and Todai-ji Temple on foot. The lobby is beautifully designed with thoughtful details, and I loved that they offered complimentary drinks, snacks, and even ice cream—such a nice touch for guests arriving tired or after a long day of sightseeing. My double room was surprisingly spacious—way bigger than what you’d typically expect from a city hotel in Japan. There was plenty of room for two people, which made the stay feel comfortable and relaxed. The staff were friendly and included several who spoke fluent Chinese, so communication was never an issue. What really stood out? The price. At just around HKD 270 per person per night, this place offers incredible value. It’s rare to find such quality and comfort at this price point. The only minor downside is that the bathroom is a bit small, but honestly, it doesn’t take away from how much I enjoyed the overall experience. If you’re looking for a great mix of location, comfort, and affordability in Nara, this hotel is a must-book.

Hotobil

Located just a short walk from Nara's charming town area, this little gem offers an exceptional stay. The property is spotless and meticulously clean—every detail reflects great attention to hygiene. The host, an elderly lady with warm hospitality, speaks excellent English and goes out of her way to make guests feel welcome. Her breakfast is a highlight: fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and generously served—perfectly balanced with local touches. The overall experience feels personal and authentic, far beyond what you'd expect at this price point. It’s clear that every aspect is cared for with genuine passion. A truly memorable stay in Nara, and I’d absolutely return without hesitation.

Hotel OBANA

The hotel is perfectly located—just a short walk to the park and only three minutes from the lakeside Starbucks, which makes for a peaceful morning coffee break. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I slept like a baby throughout the night. On the third floor, there’s a self-service laundry machine, which is super convenient for longer stays. The ground floor has a cozy lounge area where you can grab a drink or snack. Plus, they offer free luggage storage before check-in and after check-out—such a thoughtful touch! Everything about this place feels well thought out, from the quiet ambiance to the attention to detail. A real gem in Nara with excellent value.

Centurion Hotel Classic Nara Station

I couldn’t have spent my money better! After years of restless nights at other hotels, this stay was a game-changer. The soundproofing with double-glazed windows made such a difference—I slept like a baby all night, no noise from the street or hallway. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and spoke excellent English, making check-in and recommendations smooth and stress-free. Located just a short walk from Nara Station, it’s perfect for exploring the city and nearby temples. I’ve never had such a peaceful and comfortable stay in Japan. If you’re visiting Nara, don’t hesitate—this hotel is worth every penny.

Staying at Guesthouse Tamura was a delightful surprise! The small courtyard is beautifully landscaped and creates such a peaceful, serene atmosphere right from the moment you arrive. What truly stood out was the balcony in our room—perfect for morning coffee with a view of lush greenery. It felt like a little private retreat amidst the city. Located just a short walk from Nara Park, it's incredibly convenient for exploring the area. The overall experience was exceptional, and I'd definitely recommend this gem to anyone visiting Nara.

Super Hotel Jr Nara Ekimae Sanjo Dori

This trip to Japan was such a joy, and a big part of that was staying at this incredible hotel! I was initially nervous seeing two Super Hotels nearby, but this one truly stands out. Located just across from the JR station, it's incredibly convenient for getting around—just a short walk to everything. The front desk staff are fantastic: they speak fluent Chinese (and also Korean, Japanese, and English!), making communication completely seamless. They even took time to go over important details during check-in and provided all the essentials—pillows, pajamas, toiletries—everything you'd need. The breakfast was delicious and authentically Japanese, and I was pleasantly surprised to see many local Japanese guests here too, which says a lot about the quality. It’s only a comfortable 10-minute walk to Nara Park, perfect for early morning visits. Honestly, I’ve already recommended it to everyone I know. If I ever come back to Kansai, this will be my top pick—plus, it’s more affordable than other options in the area. Yes, the room is small (typical for Japanese hotels), but honestly, it doesn’t take away from the experience at all.

Toyoko Inn Kintetsu Nara Ekimae

Staying at Toyoko Inn Kintetsu Nara Ekimae was an absolute breeze—right outside the train station, so no need to walk far after a long journey. The hotel is quiet and peaceful, and the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making check-in feel welcoming. The breakfast was a bit basic and not very exciting, but honestly, I didn’t mind since I was out exploring most of the time anyway. The room is small, which is expected for this type of budget-friendly hotel, but it’s clean, comfortable, and perfect for a quick overnight stay. What really stands out is how close it is to major attractions—just a short walk to Nara Park, Todai-ji Temple, and other key spots. Plus, there are plenty of local eateries and shops nearby. Super convenient, great value, and I’d definitely book here again if I’m ever back in Nara.

The area around the hotel is packed with great dining options—so many choices that you’ll want to try them all! What stood out most was how thoughtful the staff were: they posted helpful guides on local restaurants and must-visit spots right in the lobby, making it easy to plan your days without any hassle. Clean rooms, friendly service, and a perfect location make this hotel a top choice for anyone visiting Nara. I’d definitely stay here again.
