Hotel Moscow

I've stayed at Hotel Moscow every time I visit St. Petersburg for work, and it never disappoints. The location is perfect—right next to the metro station, making commuting effortless and convenient. The room itself is cozy and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed that ensures a restful night's sleep. Breakfast is a highlight: a generous spread with both local and international options, so you start your day energized. Best of all, the hotel sits close to the Neva River—walking just a few minutes gets you to scenic riverside views, especially beautiful during sunrise and sunset. The atmosphere is peaceful and elegant, making it ideal for both business trips and leisure. Excellent value, friendly staff, and top-notch amenities. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting St. Petersburg—it’s my go-to choice, and I’ll definitely be back.

Antares by Center Hotels

Staying at Antares by Center Hotels in Saint Petersburg was a real highlight, especially given the price. Located on a quiet stretch of Nevsky Prospekt—less crowded than the main tourist spots—it's super convenient for getting around. Just steps away from a Pятерочка and Magnit convenience store, I never had to go far for essentials. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room came with all the basics—including air conditioning. The only things missing were a safe and bathrobe, but honestly, those aren’t dealbreakers when you’re only spending a few hours in the room each day. Cleaning happened just once during my four-night stay, but they did ask if I wanted it done, so no complaints there. I noticed the shampoo and shower gel weren’t refilled, which is a small oversight. There was some noise from a neighboring room, but again, not the hotel’s fault. Still, I’d give it a full 10/10 because of the value. At about 1,100 rubles per night, this is way better than what I used to get at capsule hostels—where the only plus was location, right near Moscow Station. This place offers comfort, convenience, and a great vibe for the price. Definitely worth it, and I’d come back without hesitation.

Hotel Vera

Stayed at Hotel Vera for a couple of days in an economy room, and overall it was a very pleasant experience. The location is definitely a big plus—just a 15-minute walk to Moscow Station, with tram and bus stops right outside the hotel, making it super easy to get around town or head out along Nevsky Prospekt. The on-site restaurant offers a good variety of breakfast included in the rate—fresh, tasty, and well-presented. For lunch and dinner, I dined there too, and the food was delicious with creative presentation. It’s a bit pricey for a hotel restaurant, but fair given the quality. Staff at reception were friendly and helpful—they even switched my room from a rooftop one to a better one with a window when I asked, no hassle at all. Basic toiletries like toothbrushes are available upon request. The only downside was the room size—it felt a bit small, but still perfectly fine for a short stay. Great value for money and highly recommend if you're looking for convenience and a comfortable base in St. Petersburg.

Kholstomer

I absolutely loved staying at Kholstomer in St. Petersburg—perfect for solo travelers like me. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the train station, making it super easy to get around the city. Even though the room isn’t large, it’s clean, well-organized, and feels cozy and welcoming. What stood out most was the breakfast—fresh and satisfying—and the front desk staff, who were all kind elderly ladies. Their warm, patient service made me feel right at home. It’s such a peaceful, safe environment, ideal for someone looking to unwind without any hassle. If you’re traveling alone and want a quiet, authentic stay with a personal touch, this place is a must-try.

A'Capella

Staying at A'Capella Hotel was a delightful surprise! Nestled in a beautifully preserved historic building, the hotel offers an unbeatable location just a short walk from Nevsky Prospekt and Moscow Railway Station. The rooms are spotless and cozy, with a charming old-world vibe. I especially appreciated the complimentary grain coffee in the dining area—perfect for a morning pick-me-up—or brewing your own tea using the provided supplies. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help, making check-in and check-out smooth. One thing to note: since it's housed in a heritage building, there’s no elevator—access to upper floors is via a classic staircase. This might be challenging for guests with mobility issues, but if you're able to climb stairs, it’s well worth it. The unique atmosphere, excellent location, and personal touch make this hotel a standout choice for travelers seeking authenticity and comfort in St. Petersburg.

The host was incredibly welcoming and warm, making me feel right at home. Breakfast was fresh and comforting—hot meals with a personal touch, including a delicious homemade dessert that really stood out. Tea and instant coffee were always available for free, which was a great bonus. The value for money is outstanding, and I’d definitely book here again if I ever return to St. Petersburg. 4U Capsule Hotel

I’ve stayed here multiple times and always come back during the same season—there’s something special about this place that just keeps getting better. The facilities are thoughtfully designed: a dishwasher, clean filtered water, microwave, and even a kettle with boiling water ready at all times. It’s clear the team puts real heart into it—not just management, but genuine teamwork and creativity, and honestly, all the staff are women who clearly care deeply about guest experience. Breakfast was an absolute highlight today—creamy cottage cheese pancakes, fresh thin pancakes, and warm toast with rich chocolate spread. All served at a price that feels almost too good to be true. If you’re unsure about my review or think I might be biased, feel free to reach out—I’m happy to share firsthand details with anyone planning a trip to St. Petersburg. This place deserves every bit of praise. I’ll definitely be back next year!

Apartments Grechesky-15

I'm still in shock over what happened to my husband and me last night. We arrived in St. Petersburg around 9 PM on May 6th, 2023, after a long drive that went wrong when our car broke down. We called ahead to reserve a room, explaining we’d arrive between midnight and 1 AM. The woman who answered was clearly annoyed—she even referred to herself as the "hostel owner" on Grechesky 15—but she said the booking was confirmed and she’d accommodate us. When we finally got there at 1:03 AM, freezing cold and exhausted from the trip, she refused entry outright, saying she didn’t like us. No explanation, no alternative options—just kicked out into the middle of the night. I’ve loved this city since childhood and have visited many times, but never have I been treated so poorly by such a beautiful place. This experience has completely ruined my trust in the platform’s recommendations. If you value safety, comfort, and basic human decency, avoid this place at all costs. It’s not just bad service—it’s downright dangerous for travelers in distress.
