I K I A since 1980

Our entire stay at I K I A since 1980 was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment Mario picked us up from the airport, we felt genuinely welcomed and well taken care of. Check-in with Maria was warm and smooth—she answered all our questions with kindness and attention. The villa itself was exactly as shown in the photos: beautifully designed, spotless, and full of thoughtful touches. It’s a short 5-7 minute walk to the main resort area, and just a few more minutes to the town center for dining and shopping—super convenient. The views from the rooftop were breathtaking, especially during sunset, and the open space made it perfect for relaxing or enjoying a quiet evening. Everything we needed was there—great amenities, clean linens, and excellent air conditioning. The on-site Kazaboo restaurant was outstanding—the food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. We highly recommend it! The staff went above and beyond: they helped arrange a catamaran trip aboard the Santorini Star (a must-do!), and the spa treatment we enjoyed was pure bliss. Every detail was handled with care and professionalism. This wasn’t just a vacation—it was a true experience. If you’re looking for charm, comfort, and exceptional hospitality in Santorini, this is the place to be.

Villa Aegeon

Our stay at Villa Aegeon was absolutely delightful and definitely worth repeating. Located just a 20-minute ride from the airport, it’s incredibly convenient for travelers arriving late or leaving early. The hotel is directly connected to a small supermarket—perfect for grabbing snacks, drinks, or essentials without having to go far. The pool area is modest in size, but we were there during peak hours and never had to compete for space—peaceful and relaxing. We especially loved the little jacuzzi, ideal for unwinding after a day of exploring. The room was spacious enough with plenty of storage, though the bathroom felt a bit tight—especially when the shower curtain decided to hug you! A few more amenities would’ve been nice, as some supplies ran out quickly during our stay. The caldera view is just a short walk away, and Megalochori village is only about a nine-minute stroll—picturesque and full of charm. Overall, the value for money was outstanding. The bed was firm, which I actually prefer, and while the air conditioning blew directly on the bed, I just wore a t-shirt to sleep and stayed comfortable. Great experience all around—thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Breakfast was a highlight: abundant, fresh, and varied, offering something for everyone. What truly stood out was the genuine kindness of the staff. When I accidentally left my passport and cash in the safe upon check-out, the hotel went above and beyond to retrieve everything—yes, even the owner personally handled the situation. That level of care and attention, especially after checkout, is rare and deeply appreciated. I can't thank them enough. Central Fira Suites

Staying at Central Fira Suites was an absolute highlight of our trip to Santorini. The hotel is perfectly located right in the heart of Fira, making everything—from the famous blue-domed churches to the nearby beaches—just a short walk away. We loved how convenient it was to explore on foot, and the local dining options were fantastic, including a few great Chinese restaurants for variety. Unfortunately, we experienced a small earthquake during our stay, which temporarily restricted access to parts of the town and the beach area. Despite that, the island’s scenery remained breathtakingly beautiful, and with fewer crowds, we actually enjoyed a more peaceful and intimate experience. It felt like we had the place almost to ourselves. The hotel itself was comfortable and well-maintained, and the views from our room were stunning. Definitely a top choice if you’re looking for a central, relaxing base with incredible surroundings.

Alti Santorini Suites - Caldera View

Stunning views from the room—every morning started with a breathtaking view of the caldera, and the sunset was absolutely unforgettable. The property has a charming, rustic vibe, though some areas could use a little renovation. That said, the overall atmosphere is cozy and authentic. One minor issue was a faint sewer odor in one of the rooms, but it dissipated quickly after opening the windows. Location is excellent—just a short walk to the town center and all the main sights. If you're looking for a peaceful, scenic stay without breaking the bank, this place is definitely worth considering. Great value for the price, and the views alone make it memorable.

Santonero - the Philoxenia Project

This is one of the best value stays I've had in Santorini! While it's located on the southern part of the island—away from the main towns—it’s actually a plus if you're looking for peace and quiet. The huge swimming pool is stunning, and the small indoor heated pool is perfect for cool evenings or early mornings. The rooms are spacious, well-designed, and very comfortable with a modern, minimalist vibe. Staff are friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Even though it’s not right next to the village, getting around is easy—just a short drive or a nice walk to explore the area. I loved the balance between relaxation and convenience. If you want a peaceful retreat with great amenities and excellent service, this place is absolutely worth considering.
