I checked in on the 22nd and checked out the 23rd, right before Christmas, yet the room rate remained incredibly affordable, which totally exceeded my expectations. The location is unbeatable: just a short walk to major spots like Causeway Bay and Tsim Sha Tsui, with easy access to the iconic tram (Ding Ding) and plenty of local charm around every corner. There are countless authentic street food stalls and neighborhood restaurants right outside the hotel—perfect for grabbing a quick bite or exploring Hong Kong’s famous local flavors. The highlight has to be the buffet breakfast and dinner. For just a few tens of dollars per person, it's a steal—cheaper than a bowl of beef noodle soup at any casual eatery. The selection is impressive: a great mix of Chinese and Western dishes, fresh seafood, hot mains, desserts, and more. Everything is well-prepared, clean, and delicious. Plus, the dining area features an open-air terrace where you can enjoy your meal with a breeze and a view of the city lights—such a special touch that elevates the whole experience. Location-wise, it’s super convenient: just a short walk to North Point MTR station, and within 500 meters you’ll find North Point Promenade perfect for an evening stroll along the waterfront. Nearby is North Point Plaza with plenty of dining options—great variety from local eats to international cuisine. Whether you’re here for business or leisure, this hotel offers excellent value and a great base for exploring the area. Definitely planning to come back.

The Jervois Hong Kong
Staying at The Jervois Hong Kong was one of the best decisions I made during my trip to Hong Kong. Right next to Sheung Wan MTR station—just a 3-5 minute walk—it’s incredibly convenient for getting around. I loved how close it was to the Star Ferry scenic route and the Mid-Levels escalator; I could easily explore the area without needing to carry bags or worry about luggage. Even when heading to the airport, the transfer via Central and the Airport Express took under 15 minutes including walking time—super smooth. Breakfast is redeemable at a nearby café, and don’t miss the bakery across the street—the one that opens at 8:00 AM. It’s the earliest option by far (others open at 9:00), and their pastries are fresh and delicious. There's also a 7-Eleven right next door for late-night snacks or essentials. The room itself is spacious with no feeling of being cramped. The smart water dispenser and excellent coffee machine made mornings special. I stayed two nights, and housekeeping came in promptly—no hassle at all. The HK$1,000 deposit is standard, but check-out was fast and efficient. Overall, this place offers incredible value for money, great location, and a warm, thoughtful touch. If you’re looking for a quiet yet central base in Hong Kong, especially if you love convenience and local charm, this hotel is a must-try.
