There are plenty of small shops nearby, so grabbing snacks, drinks, or essentials is super convenient. I enjoyed walking to Columbia University—about a 20-minute stroll through residential streets, which felt safe during daylight hours. That said, I did notice the neighborhood’s safety level is average, so I’d recommend being mindful when walking around late at night. All in all, it's a great choice if you're looking to immerse yourself in a real Harlem vibe without sacrificing comfort or convenience. The value for money is strong, and the hotel delivers on atmosphere and practicality.

What truly sets this place apart is the rooftop terrace, offering stunning panoramic views of the Queensboro Bridge and Manhattan skyline. Watching the sunset from up there was unforgettable. Plus, it’s within walking distance to three subway stations, plus easy access to the LIC Gantry Park and Astoria Ferry Station for a quick ride to WTC. The modern, stylish design, excellent service, and unbeatable location make this hotel a top pick. I’d definitely come back.
