Especially grateful to the manager, Wilmo, who personally remembered our breakfast preferences—my husband doesn’t like eggs cooked the usual way, and Wilmo made sure they were prepared just right. That kind of thoughtful service makes all the difference. You can tell everyone here genuinely wants you to have a great stay. It’s not just about comfort—it’s about feeling welcomed and valued. Easy access to the city by public transit, excellent value, and unforgettable hospitality. Definitely coming back.

We stayed at Palm House Boutique Hotel and Spa in November with our family and two young kids, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the very beginning, Carolyn went above and beyond to make sure we had all the information and support we needed—her attention to detail set the tone for our entire trip. During our stay, we truly enjoyed the Poolhouse area, especially the heated pool surrounded by lush greenery—perfect for relaxing and letting the kids play safely. The spa was a highlight: luxurious treatments that left us feeling completely refreshed. We dined at both restaurants, and every meal was exceptional. Chef Gregory Henderson crafted a menu full of creativity and storytelling—each dish felt intentional and deeply thought out. Paired with Richard’s outstanding wine selections and the impeccable service from Kenny and Nadine, dinner became a true culinary journey. And let’s not forget the cocktails served by Quinton and Lucas by the pool—refreshing, expertly made, and the perfect way to unwind. Max, Ilze, and their whole team ensured nothing was missing—we never had to ask twice, and any request was handled with warmth and speed. This hotel isn’t just great—it’s exceptional. I especially appreciated how spotless everything was, which made the whole experience feel more relaxing and comfortable. The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the beach and within easy reach of public transit, making it simple to explore Cape Town’s vibrant neighborhoods. Friendly staff, peaceful atmosphere, and great value for money. I’d highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Cape Town. It’s definitely a place I’ll come back to.

If a sixth star existed, we’d absolutely give this charming place a six-star rating. The rooms are spacious, bright, and immaculately clean—truly a delight to stay in. Breakfast was an absolute highlight: chef’s special omelettes, hearty oats, fresh fruit, and delicious croissants, all perfect to enjoy in the garden or on the veranda with a morning breeze. Yves and Valérie were incredibly welcoming and always ready to answer our questions—plus their local tips were genuinely helpful. From start to finish, the entire team made us feel at home. One major downside was the constant staff turnover, which made it hard to build rapport with any consistent point of contact. It felt like every time I needed help, I had to start from scratch. Despite this, the ambiance, location, and overall comfort make this a great choice for travelers seeking a unique and authentic stay in Cape Town. Would definitely recommend for those looking for character and charm.

The location is fantastic—just a short ride from downtown, and there are plenty of great dining options nearby. It’s peaceful yet convenient, and the overall vibe is so relaxing. We loved every moment here and would definitely come back.
