The Apollo Hotel by Best Western Bordeaux Lac is perfectly located in a vibrant area with plenty of nearby accommodations, but it stands out for its comfort and convenience. Just steps away from the hotel is a fantastic French bistro offering authentic flavors; their pork knuckle and sausages were absolutely delicious, rich in taste and well-prepared. Everything about this stay felt thoughtfully designed—from the welcoming atmosphere to the excellent service. A top choice for travelers visiting Bordeaux.

Great stay at this hotel! Perfect for a one or two-night visit, especially with its excellent location just steps away from the train station that takes you into the city center in under 30 minutes. The hotel is also right next to the exhibition park, making it ideal for business travelers or those attending events. Rooms are spotless and well-maintained, and I loved having a bathtub—perfect for unwinding after a long day. Breakfast was fantastic: fresh, varied, and delicious, with both continental and international options. Clean, comfortable, and very convenient. Definitely recommend for anyone visiting Bordeaux who wants a quiet, well-located base with great value.

Our stay was disappointing overall. The room was extremely small and cramped, making it difficult to move around comfortably. There was no fitted sheet—just a duvet—which meant we had to sleep without any covering if we got too warm, which wasn’t ideal. The shower tray was barely 70 cm square, which feels laughably small in today’s standards. Plus, the sliding shower door was stiff and hard to operate. To make matters worse, parking was nearly impossible in the area—we circled the neighborhood three times before finally finding a spot over 500 meters away from the hotel. Carrying luggage that far was exhausting. While the location is close to the city center, the lack of convenience and poor room quality made it hard to justify the price. I wouldn’t recommend this place for a comfortable stay.
