This stay at Hotel And Spa Kyoto Eminence was absolutely wonderful. The location is perfect—just a short walk from Jigoku-dani and Saikyo-ji Temple, with the convenient 80 bus stopping right nearby, making exploration effortless. While the staff are a bit older in age, their warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism more than made up for it. Every interaction felt genuine and caring. The room was spotless and cozy, and the onsen bath was serene and relaxing—exactly what I needed after a busy day exploring Kyoto. It’s rare to find such a peaceful retreat with such high service standards. Highly recommend this hidden gem for anyone seeking comfort, culture, and tranquility in the heart of Kyoto.

There are plenty of convenience stores nearby, so grabbing snacks or essentials is never an issue. I stayed in a room that’s around 50 sqm (about 500 sq ft) for only 400 per night—this kind of space and value is hard to beat in Kyoto. The unit was clean, well-maintained, and had everything I needed. The location, comfort, and affordability make this a top choice for any traveler planning to explore the city. I’ll definitely be coming back here on my next trip to Kyoto.

Kyoto Station itself is already a great place to explore, and right across the street is Avanti Mall, where you’ll find a Daiso and Seria, perfect for last-minute souvenirs or small essentials. The toiletries provided were top-notch—Pola brand products, especially the shampoo, which I absolutely loved. They also included disposable slippers, a nice little touch. It’s a bit of a walk to Fushimi Inari (about 40 minutes), but the trip to Kiyomizu-dera is still manageable if you’re up for it. There are plenty of nearby options: a convenience store, Domino’s Pizza, and a great ramen shop—all within walking distance. The closest subway station is only an 8-minute walk away, making public transit super accessible. Overall, the location, amenities, and comfort make this a standout choice. I’d definitely book here again on my next visit to Kyoto.
