My sister-in-law and I took a quick weekend trip to Baguio for just one night, and honestly, we couldn’t have been happier with our stay at Hotel Vivo. We booked through the platform—apparently it was slightly cheaper than direct booking—but we were a little nervous at first since the hotel is brand new and had no reviews yet. But we decided to give it a try, and we’re glad we did. The hotel is about a 10-15 minute taxi ride from the main bus terminal (Victory Liner), which was perfect because traffic in Baguio can be brutal. Upon arrival, we were greeted with warm smiles and friendly staff who handed us welcome drinks—such a nice touch! Check-in was smooth and fast, and we were eager to freshen up after our journey. Our room on the 4th floor was spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean. It felt cool even without turning on the AC—impressive for the tropical climate. We relaxed, watched YouTube on the smart TV, and called the front desk to combine the two double beds for better comfort—we were three people, so this was a big plus. One small note: there’s no full-length mirror in the room, which some guests might miss, but otherwise, everything was great. The location is fantastic—just a 5–10 minute walk to Burnham Park, where the night market happens, and nearby GoodTaste, where we enjoyed a late lunch. After exploring the park and Session Road, we returned to rest before heading out again at 9 PM. That afternoon nap was incredible—the bed and pillows were super comfortable, and the room stayed pleasantly cool. Breakfast the next morning was complimentary, but it wasn’t as strong as expected. When we arrived, most of the food was already gone, and we had to wait about 10 minutes while they cooked more. Also, the selection was limited. I noticed a Japanese guest asking for food, and the staff member at the buffet tried to communicate in Tagalog—this highlights the need for better English training, especially in a hotel serving international travelers. Still, the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable throughout our stay—no buffering or dropouts. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The staff are genuinely kind and helpful, the rooms are clean and spacious, and the price point is very fair. As a new hotel, there’s still room to grow, but we’d definitely come back and recommend Hotel Vivo to others looking for a quiet, well-run base in Baguio.

It’s located in a prime area surrounded by other great hotels and attractions, and walking distance to King Chef Restaurant and Route 55’s unlimited steak buffet—perfect for food lovers. Each room is well-designed, with the Love Room offering a private walk-in closet for ultimate comfort and privacy. There are also spacious options for groups of 4, 6, or even 8 guests, but the Love Room stands out as a truly special solo retreat. What makes this experience even more memorable is that the property is owned by a well-known local family who runs major hotels across the region—they’re generous and kind to open this gem to the public. Staying here isn’t just a hotel visit; it’s like living in a dreamy, private estate. Highly recommended!

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you're traveling with toddlers, infants, or elderly guests. There’s no ramp for strollers or wheelchairs, making access very difficult. The lack of parking space is another major downside—unless you’re staying right outside, finding a spot nearby can be frustrating. The photos on the website are outdated and don’t reflect the actual condition of the rooms or common areas. The place feels worn down and poorly maintained overall. It’s not child-friendly at all, and the experience was disappointing from start to finish. For a better stay in Baguio, look elsewhere.

But honestly, if no urgent renovations and deep cleaning happen soon, this property could turn into a ghost hotel. Hope the owners take immediate action before it's too late.
