Staying at the Ambrose Hotel in Santa Monica was absolutely perfect. Nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood, it offers a peaceful retreat away from tourist crowds, traffic, and parking stress—while still being steps away from all the best of Santa Monica. The complimentary 3-mile Tesla shuttle service is a game-changer for getting around without hassle. We especially loved the inviting lobby seating areas, ideal for relaxing after a long day. Every morning, we’d stroll across the street to Tartine for fresh croissants and coffee—simple pleasures done right. From the warm hospitality to the thoughtful touches throughout, this stay exceeded every expectation. I couldn’t recommend the Ambrose more highly.

Check-in was quick and smooth, with friendly and efficient staff. The hotel is well-located for exploring Santa Monica, just a short walk to the beach and downtown area. While there aren’t many dining options right around the property, the room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained—especially the bed, which made for a great night’s sleep. One area that could be improved is overall cleanliness, particularly in the bathroom and flooring. A little more attention to hygiene would make this already solid stay even better. All in all, it’s a great value for the price, and I’d definitely book again.

Waking up to the ocean breeze and watching the sun set over the water was pure magic. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Being steps away from the pier, restaurants, shops, and beaches made everything so convenient. It’s rare to find such a perfect blend of comfort, service, and location. I’d absolutely recommend this gem to anyone visiting Santa Monica.

I especially appreciated the parking space located at the back—easy access and secure, which made things much more convenient, especially if you're driving. Breakfast options were plentiful and varied, with hot items and fresh pastries that tasted great. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. It's a fantastic value for the location, right near Santa Monica’s vibrant area. Would definitely book again if I ever return to the city.

Perfect for our last night in LA! The check-in experience was flawless, and we were even allowed to keep our car parked until 11 PM on our final day—such a thoughtful touch that gave us extra time to enjoy the city. The hotel is just a 15-minute walk from the beach, making it easy to unwind with a sunset stroll. My only concern was finding a stuffed animal for sale placed directly on the bed—could be confusing for kids who might think it’s a gift. Also, the sofa bed was quite uncomfortable, not ideal for sleeping. While the price is a bit on the higher side, the overall experience, location, and hospitality made it worth it. If you're wrapping up your trip in LA and want a relaxed, convenient stay, this place is definitely a solid choice.
