Tidewater by Book That Condo
Staying at Tidewater by Book That Condo was a fantastic experience. The unit (2014) offered more than enough space with two bedrooms, each featuring private bathrooms, plus a sofa sleeper and a bunk area—perfect for families or groups. There’s even a third bathroom, which made mornings much smoother. The balcony was spacious and ideal for relaxing with a coffee while enjoying the ocean view. Being directly on the beach and just a short walk to the pier made everything so convenient. The only minor note is that the elevators were a bit slow, but it didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment. Every amenity felt thoughtfully included—like coming home, but better. If we ever get back to Panama City Beach, this will be our first choice again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for comfort, location, and value.

The location is convenient and close to the beach, which is a plus. However, I was disappointed with the check-in process—waiting for the elevator took way too long, and the app clearly stated that parking was included, but upon arrival, I was asked to pay extra for a parking permit. This was frustrating, especially after trusting the booking details. It’s not a great experience when there’s a mismatch between what’s advertised and what’s actually charged. Hope they can improve communication and transparency in the future.

I won’t be booking here again. While the room itself was decent, the building maintenance is a major concern. Only one elevator was working during our stay, and it felt unsafe—many guests waited over an hour just to go up or down. For those with mobility issues or traveling with kids, climbing eight flights of stairs isn’t realistic. Ice was only available on one floor, requiring a 30-minute wait via the unreliable elevator or carrying bags up eight floors. To make matters worse, each bag of ice cost $7—way too expensive. What’s most disappointing is how indifferent the staff seemed. No one appeared to care about the obvious problems. This experience significantly impacted my overall satisfaction. I’d rather choose another hotel next time.
