Our concierge kindly reached out the day before to confirm whether we preferred breakfast delivered to our room or enjoyed it in the dining area, and everything arrived right on time. The service was exceptional throughout. Whether you're here for business travel or family fun, this place fits both perfectly. I asked the staff about local recommendations, and they shared insider tips on where to eat, what to explore, and how to make the most of your trip—all personalized and genuinely helpful. I’ve heard that each season brings a different kind of beauty to the property, making it a destination worth revisiting no matter the time of year. The mattress and pillows were incredibly comfortable, making for a restful night’s sleep. The smart room system made everything seamless—adjusting lights and curtains with one tap, while the shower delivered strong, consistent water flow. Bathroom amenities were high-quality and thoughtfully chosen. Breakfast offered a great mix of Western and local flavors, and the late-night snack option was a pleasant surprise. Their signature local rice noodles were authentic and delicious, and the coffee? Top-notch. I was also impressed by the excellent soundproofing—even though the room is on the ground floor, closing the door completely blocked out any lobby noise. We stopped by Venus International Hotel in Kunming on our way back from Shangri-La to Guizhou on October 6th, and it turned out to be a perfect pit stop. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and equipped with all the essentials we needed for a comfortable stay. Parking was easy and convenient, which is always a plus when traveling by car. The hotel is just a short walk from the metro station, making public transit super accessible. Plus, it's located in a vibrant commercial area with tons of restaurants nearby—dining options are endless, whether you're craving local flavors or something more familiar.
