Stayed at Hotel Capitolio with my husband during our tourism trip to Medellín, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The hotel is incredibly convenient—just a short walk from the metro station, making it easy to explore the city. Our room was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed: reliable Wi-Fi, hot water in the bathroom (though the shower pressure wasn’t consistent), a functional mini-fridge, crisp linens, and plush pillows that made for a restful night’s sleep. The flat-screen TV came with cable channels, and there was ample storage space—perfect for organizing luggage. While the area outside felt a bit unsafe at night and walking around after dark wasn’t advisable, that’s something common in many big cities. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always ready to assist. We especially appreciated the complimentary red wine offered daily—delicious and a nice touch. The food quality was great too. Overall, we felt comfortable, relaxed, and well taken care of. This is definitely a place I’d recommend and return to.

Such a shame this hostel is closed—it was one of my favorite places to stay in Medellín over the years. I've visited multiple times, and it always stood out as one of the best hostels in the city. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, but what really made it special were the outdoor areas—so peaceful, beautifully designed, and perfect for relaxing or just enjoying the breeze. Location-wise, it couldn’t have been better—right near the metro and walking distance to so many attractions. It had that rare mix of comfort, charm, and great value. I’ll miss staying here. Hoping someone brings it back in some form—would absolutely be my go-to again.

Staying at La Playa Hostel & Rooftop was an absolute highlight of my trip to Medellín! The vibe here is vibrant yet welcoming—perfect for solo travelers or groups. The bathrooms are spotless, with excellent shower pressure that makes every rinse feel like a treat. Rooms are clean, well-maintained, and share the same high standard of hygiene throughout. But the real gem? The rooftop area—open to everyone, with great views, chill music, and a relaxed atmosphere. I spent a wonderful evening up there, sipping drinks and chatting with fellow travelers. The value for money is outstanding—this place offers luxury-level comfort without the luxury price tag. Highly recommend if you're looking for a memorable, social, and clean stay in Medellín.

Located in the heart of El Poblado’s Patio Bonito neighborhood, Lady Mom Hostal offers a clean and cozy atmosphere that feels more like a home away from home. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making the stay feel personal and comfortable. While there’s no kitchen or shared lounge area to relax in, the highlight is definitely the excellent café right below the hostel—affordable, well-kept, and perfect for morning coffee or a quick bite. That said, one major drawback is the lack of clear signage. It’s nearly impossible to spot the entrance at night, especially when the café closes. We recommend asking locals for directions or using GPS navigation to avoid confusion. Despite this small issue, the location is quiet yet central, and the overall value makes it a solid choice for travelers looking for a peaceful, authentic stay in Medellín.

Staying at Wellcomm Spa & Hotel in Medellín was an absolute delight. The front desk staff spoke English fluently, making check-in smooth and stress-free. I was pleasantly surprised when I received a complimentary room upgrade—my new room was much larger, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable, with a cozy bed that made for a restful night’s sleep. The breakfast spread was impressive too: fresh local flavors mixed with classic Western options, all well-prepared and delicious. The hotel’s location is convenient, just a short metro ride from the city center. Overall, it's a perfect blend of comfort, service, and value—definitely a top choice if you're visiting Medellín.

We arrived at the hotel after booking through a platform, only to be told there was no reservation on file—apparently they don’t have a partnership with the booking site. Fortunately, the hotel staff were very accommodating and helped us check in directly. They also assisted with starting the refund process. While the initial confusion was frustrating, their willingness to resolve the issue made the experience manageable. That said, the lack of coordination with the booking platform is a major red flag. I’d recommend double-checking your reservation details before arriving, especially if you’re relying on third-party platforms.

The location is excellent—just a short walk to the city center and surrounded by great dining options and local shops. The staff were incredibly friendly and responsive, especially Wigler, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Communication throughout the booking and stay was smooth and efficient. I had a wonderful experience from start to finish and would definitely book again. Highly recommend this place if you're visiting Medellín.

Staying at Medallo House | Casa Medallo was an absolute delight! The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and fully equipped with everything I needed. Its proximity to EAFIT University is a major plus—just a short walk or quick ride away, making it ideal for students or professionals commuting daily. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, offering a peaceful retreat after a long day. Everything about this stay felt thoughtfully designed, from the comfortable bed to the thoughtful touches around the space. It’s not just a place to sleep—it’s a home away from home. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Medellín, especially those looking for comfort, convenience, and a genuine local feel.

Staying at B 48 Living by B Rent was an absolute delight! The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming—so cheerful and helpful throughout our visit. The property is designed like a modern apartment, offering plenty of space and a really comfortable layout. Everything you need is included: fully equipped kitchenette, cozy bedding, clean bathrooms, and great lighting. It felt more like home than a hotel, which made the whole experience so relaxing. Plus, it's well-located with easy access to public transit if you want to explore Medellín. I’d definitely stay here again—the vibe, service, and value are all top-notch. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the city!

The location of CoLink House Hotel is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of Medellín, with everything within walking distance. We were just a short stroll from the metro station and found plenty of great restaurants nearby. In about 10 minutes, we reached Provenza, and there’s also a large supermarket close by where you can find everything you need, including local Colombian clothing brands. The staff went above and beyond to help us—when we didn’t have a metro card, they kindly lent us one for our entire stay. They even gave us detailed guidance on routes, schedules, and key spots to visit, all clearly displayed on an easy-to-read metro map on the wall. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, contributing to a very comfortable stay. I’m genuinely thrilled with the experience and will definitely return here whenever I come back to Medellín. A truly welcoming and convenient home away from home.

Staying at Hotel Helene in Medellín was an absolute delight—especially considering the affordable price point. Every aspect of the hotel exceeds expectations: the room was immaculately clean, the air conditioning and heating worked perfectly, and the shower had strong water pressure with consistent temperature. Security is top-notch with staff on duty 24/7, and the policy of not allowing extra guests into rooms adds a real sense of safety and peace of mind. The location is excellent—close to public transit and downtown attractions, making it super convenient for exploring the city. This place offers incredible value without compromising on comfort or quality. I’ll definitely be returning next time I visit Medellín.

Staying at Hotel Meridiano Lofts in Medellín was a mixed experience. The location is excellent—just a short walk from the city center and surrounded by great cafes and restaurants. However, the biggest downside is the noise. The building sits directly above a nightclub, and even though the music isn’t constantly loud, it’s incredibly intrusive. By 2:30 AM, the bass vibrations are so strong that mirrors in the bathroom and dishes in the kitchen literally shake. Even during the day, the ambient sound level is high enough to disrupt any attempt at a quiet afternoon nap. I’d recommend this place only if you’re a night owl or don’t mind constant background noise. The kitchen is well-equipped but lacks basic cleaning supplies—bring your own soap and wipes. Overall, it’s a solid option for budget-conscious travelers who prioritize location over peace and quiet.
