Relais Empire
Staying at Relais Empire was a wonderful experience overall. The room was beautifully designed, the bathroom was clean and modern, and the kitchen area offered plenty of space for preparing meals—very convenient. The location is excellent: close to restaurants, shops, and just a short walk from the city center, making it easy to explore Verona on foot. The only minor issue was a strange noise coming from the ceiling during the night—almost like something was stuck in the air duct, turning on and off intermittently. It was noticeable but not disruptive during the day; however, it did feel unsettling in the middle of the night. Despite that, the stay was truly enjoyable, and I’d definitely recommend this hotel for its charm, comfort, and great value.

Nearby, you'll find supermarkets, Chinese restaurants, bus stops, and plenty of cozy cafés and eateries for every meal. The apartment itself is spotless, with a brand-new air conditioner that keeps things cool and quiet. Both the bedroom and bathroom are generously sized, offering great comfort and space. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, microwave, dishwasher, pots, pans, and all the essentials—perfect for self-catering. It’s rare to find such a well-located, spacious, and practical apartment at this price point. I’d definitely book again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Verona.

Best of all, the B&B is perfectly located: right in front of a bus stop that takes you straight to the city center in just five minutes! It made getting around Verona effortless. My husband, our 12-year-old son, and I stayed at this beautiful countryside guesthouse in mid-July for a week, and it was absolutely perfect. The room was spacious and immaculately clean, with an eco-friendly cooling system that kept things comfortable without being too cold. Outside, there’s a natural swimming pool filled with lotus flowers and little frogs—serene and peaceful, just what we needed after a busy day. The parking is convenient, and right nearby is a small shop selling fresh produce, vegetables, and honey from their own farm—so fresh and delicious! There are large picnic tables just steps away, and Wi-Fi works great even outside the building. Breakfast was generous and varied—perfect for starting the day. Wanda was incredibly welcoming and spoke excellent English, making communication easy. She gave us thoughtful suggestions for local walks and restaurants with amazing value. The only small thing missing? A mini-fridge in the room would’ve been nice for storing drinks or snacks. But honestly, that’s a tiny detail in an otherwise flawless stay. We highly recommend visiting Gardaland near Lake Garda and Parco Natura Viva in Bussolengo. And one must-try spot in Verona: Pizzeria Porto in San Giovanni Lupatoto—book ahead! Breakfast is exceptional—plentiful, fresh, and full of local goodness, especially the homemade pastries crafted by owner Manuela. Since check-in is in the afternoon, I highly recommend spending your morning exploring the scenic trail from Lake Calaita to Malga Crel—a hike with stunning views and delicious, affordable meals along the way. Another lovely walk, suitable for most fitness levels (with proper hiking shoes), leads to the meadows and the serene Church of San Giovanni. For a memorable dinner, try Ristorante Al Pra, just ten minutes away. They serve authentic regional dishes at fair prices, set in a charming, intimate space with breathtaking mountain views.
