Madame Tower
We stayed at Madame Tower for two nights while exploring Cologne, and overall it was a fantastic experience. The apartment comfortably accommodated our group of three with a double bed and a single bed—both were cozy and well-maintained. The space itself felt spacious and thoughtfully designed. The bathroom featured a large shower and a clean, functional toilet. The kitchenette was fully equipped with a fridge, freezer, kettle, coffee machine, and stovetop, making self-catering easy and convenient. Everything we needed was there—plates, cutlery, pots, and pans—so we could prepare simple meals without hassle. There was a dining table with chairs, plus extra seating areas around the room, perfect for relaxing or catching up. The TV was a good size, and the Wi-Fi worked flawlessly—quick setup and strong signal throughout. The views from the large windows were absolutely stunning. Whether it was daytime with bustling streets below or nighttime with glowing city lights, the scenery was captivating. Storage space was generous, so packing and unpacking wasn’t an issue. The room was spotless and well-kept, which added to the comfort. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better. We were just steps away from the main shopping district, with countless restaurants and cafes within walking distance. A short stroll took us to the Rhine River, the Cologne Cathedral, and the famous Love Lock Bridge—ideal for sightseeing and romantic moments. We arrived by train, and the station was only a few minutes’ walk away—very convenient. The only hiccup came during check-in: when we arrived at the building entrance, the intercom system didn’t work properly, and the host wasn’t available. We had to wait until another resident let us in, which felt awkward and delayed our entry. Once inside, we had to locate a key safe to access the next door—there were multiple codes involved, which made the process a bit confusing at first. However, once we got through that initial step, everything ran smoothly. Afterward, we could come and go freely, no issues at all. Despite that small inconvenience, our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. The apartment offered great value, excellent location, and a welcoming atmosphere. I’d definitely recommend this place and plan to return on our next trip to Cologne.
