We booked the Insta Hostel | Amazing Accommodations: St Kilda for a group of four adult males attending the Formula 1 Grand Prix at Albert Park. The property delivered exactly what we needed—four single beds in a spacious two-bedroom apartment, and every one of us was impressed by how comfortable the mattresses were. The unit itself was generously sized, with a large living area, a functional kitchen, and well-proportioned bathroom facilities. What stood out most was the location: just a five-minute walk to Gate 10, which made accessing the event incredibly convenient. Public trams stopped right on our corner, and there was a great little café called Square just around the block where we enjoyed breakfast each morning. Further up the street, we also discovered a solid bar and restaurant—perfect for evening relaxation. The accommodation was quiet and peaceful throughout our stay, and we were happy with the value for money. That said, the apartments do show their age—peeling wallpaper, curtains slipping off rails, outdated furniture, and slightly worn bathroom fixtures. While these weren’t deal-breakers, we’d suggest some minor updates. We felt under-supplied with essentials: only four small tubs of milk for four people over four days wasn’t sufficient, and one towel per person per day was simply not enough. Overall, though, this was an excellent choice for a stay in St Kilda. The combination of great location, comfort, and affordability makes it highly recommendable—we’d definitely consider returning.
Manhattan Apartments - Caulfield North
The property was clean and offered a good level of privacy, which I appreciated. It's also very conveniently located—just a short commute to the city center, making it ideal for exploring Melbourne. The only downside was the noise from neighboring units; the walls lack proper soundproofing, so you can clearly hear doors opening and closing, voices, and even TV sounds from adjacent apartments. This was noticeable, especially at night. Despite that, I still enjoyed my stay overall. The apartment was well-maintained, comfortable, and offered great value for money. If I'm back in Melbourne, I’d definitely consider staying here again.

This is hands down the best hostel I've ever stayed in Australia. The bathrooms, toilets, and kitchen are spotless—so clean it almost feels like a boutique hotel. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and the room stays quiet at night, making for a deep, restful sleep. They even provide extra blankets if you get chilly—such a thoughtful touch. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and genuinely nice to be around. I arrived early at 8 a.m. and was happily allowed to check in right away. It's just a short walk from South Yarra Station, so getting around Melbourne is super convenient. If I ever return to Melbourne, this will be my first choice. A truly exceptional stay—highly recommend!
