Staying at Normandie Hostel was an absolute delight! The place feels like a cozy little villa surrounded by peaceful greenery, offering a serene escape from the city buzz. Everything was spotlessly clean and well-maintained—every corner, especially the bathroom, felt fresh and hygienic. The location is fantastic: close to downtown and easily accessible via public transit, making it simple to explore nearby attractions. The staff were warm and helpful, and the whole check-in process was smooth. With such a peaceful vibe, excellent cleanliness, and unbeatable value, this place truly stands out. I’ll definitely be returning next time I visit Los Angeles!

The location is excellent—just about 4 km from downtown LA, making it super convenient whether you're exploring the city center by subway or driving. The front desk staff were incredibly professional and helpful throughout our stay. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. I especially appreciated the coffee maker at the desk along with complimentary travel mugs—such a thoughtful touch! Breakfast was simple but satisfying, offering fresh juice, coffee, eggs, bacon, and fruit—all the essentials to start the day right. Great value for money and highly recommend this property for both business and leisure travelers.

I've never stayed in a hostel with shared rooms featuring double beds, and I was pleasantly surprised—everything was incredibly clean, the facility ran smoothly, and the place remained quiet throughout my stay. No issues at all. The only suggestion I'd make is adding a small notice near the door with contact information for the property staff—it would be helpful for guests who need assistance. Overall, it's a fantastic spot with great value, excellent location, and a very welcoming atmosphere. I’d definitely come back.

The property is a bit older than the photos suggest, and the rooms are fairly basic, but it's well-located for exploring downtown LA. The nearby metro station makes getting around super convenient, and there are plenty of dining options within walking distance. It's not fancy, but if you're looking for a budget-friendly option with good access to attractions and transit, this place offers solid value for money.

This has been the worst travel experience in over a decade. I didn’t even make it past the front door—just walking in, the place felt dead and unclean. The room was filthy, dusty, and clearly hadn’t been properly maintained. No energy, no hospitality, just an eerie silence. I left immediately without checking in. Honestly, it’s not just disappointing—it’s a complete waste of time and money. I’ve stayed in many hostels around the world, but this one stands out for all the wrong reasons. Would never recommend or come back.

InterContinental - Los Angeles Downtown
First day in LA, and staying at this InterContinental was an absolute surprise! I was assigned to the 61st floor with a stunning city view—so much better than expected. The location is perfect: walking distance to convenience stores and fast food spots, and public transit is just around the corner. Sadly, my tight schedule meant I didn’t get to enjoy the pool, but the amenities throughout the hotel are top-notch. What really stood out was the value for money—this price for a high-floor room with such great views? Definitely worth it. A small downside: the lobby is on the 70th floor, so you have to take the elevator up there first, then go down to your room—slightly inconvenient. Also, valet parking comes with an extra fee of about $80 per night, which pushes the total cost close to $250 for the room alone. Still, despite these minor drawbacks, the overall experience was fantastic. I’d absolutely stay here again.
