The park is open daily from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Special permission is required for after-hours events. The memorial area is illuminated until midnight, making it a romantic nighttime spot.
Free architecture-focused tours are offered monthly by the Atlanta Preservation Center. Self-guided tour brochures are available at the Peachtree Street entrance, highlighting the park's Art Deco elements.
Small picnics are allowed on the granite benches, but no grilling facilities are provided. For larger gatherings, you'll need a permit from the City of Atlanta Parks Department. Nearby Colony Square has better picnic amenities.
Spring (March-May) is ideal when cherry blossoms bloom. Summer can be extremely hot, while winter offers stunning views of the Midtown skyline through leafless trees. Fall hosts the annual Veterans Day ceremony.
There's only one ADA-compliant restroom near the Peachtree Street entrance. For cleaner facilities, visit the Museum of Design Atlanta (3-minute walk) which has free public restrooms during opening hours.
