Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and well-prepared, offering a perfect start to the day. Location is convenient, just minutes from public transit, making it easy to explore Johannesburg. Overall, this hotel delivers excellent value and comfort. I highly recommend it—will definitely be back!

Munisa Guest House
My stay at Munisa Guest House in Johannesburg was underwhelming overall. The front desk was largely unattended—my check-out was delayed because no one was available to assist me, which was frustrating. The air conditioning in my room wasn’t working properly; ice cubes suddenly popped out from the unit, which was alarming and uncomfortable. I also noticed a significant ant infestation in the room, and the carpet was visibly dirty and stained. While the location is convenient for getting around town and close to public transit, the lack of basic maintenance and guest service really impacted the experience. For the price, I expected better cleanliness and responsiveness. Unless you're in a real pinch or looking for a very budget option, I wouldn't recommend this place.

Not something I’d recommend unless you’re looking for a no-frills, budget option.

Need groceries? The Wanfu Lai supermarket has everything from fresh produce to pantry staples, including a wide selection of teas. Everything I needed for daily life was just steps away. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with excellent value for money. Safety, convenience, and authenticity—it’s rare to find all three in one place. If you’re visiting Johannesburg and want to feel at home while experiencing real Chinese culture, this hotel is a must-try.
