Four hours ahead of schedule, we were notified our Carlos Suite was ready, and upon arrival, we were greeted with champagne and thoughtful welcome treats. Months earlier, I’d mentioned my wife’s love for martinis, and sure enough, she found a copy of the hotel’s exclusive martini recipe book, complete with olives, lemon slices, and their secret mix—such a sweet surprise. The suite felt more like a private apartment, overlooking the square, where every element worked seamlessly. Heated bathroom floors and toilet seat? Check. Perfect lighting throughout? Absolutely. You can ask almost anything of your housekeeper—they’ll help with luggage packing, local tips, or even last-minute requests. The location is unbeatable: directly opposite Buckingham Palace stables.
