We stayed in Hamburg for four days, and Hotel St. Annen was the perfect base for exploring the city. The location is perfect—just around the corner from Ronny's Lounge, which is an absolute must-visit. Amazing cocktails, a diverse crowd, and an electric vibe that makes it unforgettable. It’s not just a place to stay—it’s an experience. We’ll definitely be back.

Staying at Egon Hotel Hamburg City was a great experience overall. The hotel is perfectly located—within walking distance of restaurants, bars, and supermarkets, making it super convenient for exploring the city. My room was small but spotlessly clean with modern furnishings that added to the comfort. The shower had excellent water pressure, both hot and cold, which made unwinding after a long day of sightseeing truly refreshing. The only minor issue was some noise from the street-facing room, and there was a brief problem with the air conditioning causing a small leak—however, the staff responded quickly and professionally, resolving it right away with genuine care and kindness. The on-site bar offers good drinks and beer, though I didn’t try breakfast, which seemed promising based on reviews. Overall, this is a well-run, budget-friendly hotel with a welcoming atmosphere. The front desk team were friendly and helpful throughout. I’d definitely recommend it and will consider staying here again on my next visit to Hamburg.

I've stayed at this hotel three out of four times during my visits to Hamburg, and I'd definitely come back again. The location is excellent—just a short walk from the train station and surrounded by great dining options. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with friendly and efficient staff throughout our stay. It's clear they care about guest experience, and that makes all the difference. I'm already planning my next trip here for November 2025—highly recommend!

While the single room is on the smaller side and a bit snug, it’s still functional and well-equipped for a comfortable night’s sleep. One minor drawback: there’s no automatic ventilation system, so you’re reliant solely on opening the two windows for airflow. This could be an issue during warmer summer months, especially without mosquito nets—something to keep in mind if you’re particularly sensitive to bugs. That said, cleanliness was clearly a top priority—the room felt fresh and well-maintained throughout my visit. The staff went above and beyond by offering a free iron upon request, and their friendly, service-oriented attitude made a big difference. Location-wise, this hotel is unbeatable. Even if you don’t book breakfast, there are plenty of great dining options just steps away. In under 8 minutes’ walk, you’re in the heart of the city—perfect for strolling, browsing shops, or grabbing a coffee. And right outside the door is the train station, making public transport effortless for exploring Hamburg and beyond. I felt completely at ease during my entire stay. With its excellent location, attentive staff, and overall comfort, this hotel delivers real value. I’ll definitely be coming back.

The location couldn't be better—right in the heart of Hamburg, steps away from public transit and all major attractions. The room was immaculate, spotless from top to bottom, and honestly, it felt more like a four or five-star experience than a three-star hotel. Breakfast was excellent—fresh, varied, and delicious. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but absolutely worth every penny given the quality and convenience. The only minor note is that sometimes there's a faint smell of alcohol in the hallway, but that’s likely due to the neighborhood and never noticeable inside the room. Overall, this hotel exceeded all expectations. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.
