We stayed at Kino Hostel on Vyborgskaya with our daughter for a week to explore St. Petersburg, and it was an excellent choice. The hostel is just a 5-10 minute walk from Vyborgskaya Metro Station—super convenient for getting around the city. The location is peaceful and beautiful, right by the riverside with lovely views. Nearby, there’s a small church, a charming park full of ducks, and several cozy cafes where we enjoyed breakfast and lunch. The room was spotlessly clean, and housekeeping was consistent and reliable. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed for cooking. It felt like home away from home—great value, quiet surroundings, and ideal for travelers who want both comfort and convenience.
Smolninskaya Hotel
Absolutely wonderful stay at Smolninskaya Hotel! I booked a basic room, but everything was incredibly cozy and well-designed—especially the emerald green accents that gave the space such a unique, calming vibe. The air conditioning was a lifesaver during the hot summer days when temperatures soared above 30°C. It kept the room comfortably cool without any noise or issues. The location is excellent—just a short walk from the metro, making it super easy to explore the city. Clean, welcoming, and great value for money. I’d definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone visiting St. Petersburg.

InBox Capsule Hotel is hands down the best hostel I've ever stayed at. Located in central St. Petersburg, it might not have a prominent sign on the street, but following the address leads you straight to the entrance through an archway with metal gates. You’ll need to press the intercom button and security will open the gate for you—then simply pull the door to enter. Walk straight ahead, and the hostel entrance is on the left side of the arch. The place is spotlessly clean and remarkably quiet, making it perfect for a peaceful night's sleep. Staff are incredibly polite and always ready to help whenever I asked. Everything you need is nearby—restaurants, bakeries, a Magnit supermarket—all within walking distance. The neighborhood feels safe and convenient. The shared bathroom and toilet are well-maintained, with complimentary shower gel, liquid soap, and paper towels provided. Linens and towels are fresh and clean. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed: toaster, glassware, metal utensils, and even a full breakfast included—yogurt, coffee, tea, toast, and two kinds of jam. I was also allowed to store my luggage in a designated storage room after check-out, which was a huge plus. Despite what international booking apps might show (like availability being full), there are often still rooms available—try reaching out directly or using local Russian platforms. This place truly delivers on every level. Exceptional hospitality, excellent value, and unforgettable stay. I can't recommend it enough!

The room was spotless, comfortable, and quiet—perfect for a good night’s sleep. The bed was cozy, the air conditioning worked great, and the room stayed at a perfect temperature whether it was hot or cold outside. Staff were friendly and efficient throughout my stay, and check-in was smooth and quick. Having 24-hour front desk support added extra peace of mind. This place offers fantastic value for money and is ideal for both business travelers and tourists. I’d definitely come back and highly recommend it.

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of St. Petersburg, making it easy to explore the city by metro. The rooms themselves are decent—recently renovated with intact furniture, which is a plus. However, the experience quickly turned frustrating. We booked upgraded rooms but were initially offered standard ones and had to wait half an hour to get settled. Cleaning only happened after four days, and we weren’t even allowed to leave our luggage at reception. We were told the upgraded rooms were “in another hotel,” despite the website clearly listing them as part of the same property—though with separate entrances. Later, they claimed they couldn’t watch our bags because the manager wouldn’t be around. The manager, Tamara, was inconsistent, hung up mid-conversation, and created unnecessary drama. Overall, this wasn’t a hotel—it felt more like dealing with an unprofessional operation where guests are treated like a burden. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The service, attitude, and communication were all severely lacking.

Right outside the door, there’s a convenient supermarket for snacks and essentials, making daily needs super easy. The neighborhood feels quiet yet central—ideal for travelers who want both comfort and accessibility. This hotel truly offers the best of both worlds: proximity to top attractions without the hassle. I’d definitely book here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

The property itself is decent, but we couldn’t relax at all due to constant noise from children running around upstairs. Apparently, there’s a daycare on the second floor, and the kids were bouncing off the walls—day and night, no break. We made several requests to management, who eventually reached out to the staff, but the calm only lasted for a short while before the chaos started again. Honestly, if you’re looking for a quiet stay to rest or sleep, this isn’t the place. The sound of little feet pounding on the floor was relentless—like someone was hammering on your head with a mallet. Even when we asked to be moved to another room, they refused, saying the noise affects the entire building. I gave it two stars not because of the hotel quality, but because of this issue—it completely ruined our experience.

With such a great location, excellent views, and a fantastic breakfast, this hotel offers incredible value for money. I’d definitely stay here again on my next visit to St. Petersburg.
La Cite Hotel
Everything at La Cite Hotel is brand new and thoughtfully designed down to the smallest details. The interior decor is stunning, and every amenity works perfectly. The room was fully equipped with a robe, slippers, kettle, bottled water, tea set, hairdryer, safe, mini-fridge, ironing board with an iron and steamer, plus a massive smart TV connected to various streaming services—I ended up binge-watching 'Young Sheldon' right after checking in! The soundproofing is excellent, so I slept like a baby. I especially loved the nightlight in the bathroom—no need to turn on the main light during nighttime visits. It’s such a small but thoughtful touch that made the stay incredibly comfortable. This hotel delivers a perfect blend of luxury, convenience, and attention to detail. Highly recommended for anyone visiting St. Petersburg.
