Ibis Styles Budapest Center
The location is excellent—just steps away from the metro, tram, and bus stops, making it super convenient to explore the city. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean, offering a comfortable stay. A Lidl supermarket is right next door, perfect for grabbing snacks or essentials. The staff are friendly and welcoming, always with a smile. Breakfast is decent but lacks some cultural touches—no cheese or olives, which would have added more character. Some sausages seemed questionable in terms of ingredients, possibly containing pork, so those avoiding it should be cautious. Still, we stayed two nights and left feeling thoroughly satisfied. Would absolutely recommend and book here again—great value and a fantastic base for exploring Budapest.
Benczur Hotel
Staying at Benczur Hotel was an absolute delight—far better than expected and incredibly good value for money. The breakfast was fantastic: abundant, delicious, and with a wide variety of options that kept us full throughout the day, even well into the afternoon. We arrived early, and despite not being check-in time yet, they let us in as early as 9 AM—super accommodating! They also offered currency exchange for Hungarian Forints, which was super helpful. The room was bright, clean, and spotless, with excellent natural light and a perfectly warm shower. It’s just a short walk to Heroes’ Square, and from there, exploring the city via Budapest’s historic yellow metro line (the first underground railway in Europe) was such a fun adventure. Everything about this stay was perfect—from location to service to comfort. Highly recommend this gem!

Special shoutout to the night shift staff—his professionalism and friendly attitude made a big difference. He was always attentive, helpful, and made me feel safe and welcome throughout the night. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Budapest, just steps away from major attractions and public transport. Clean rooms, great amenities, and excellent value for money. I highly recommend this gem if you're visiting Budapest—I’ll definitely be returning.

Free parking was a huge plus, especially since I arrived by car; no stress about finding a spot. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the nearest metro station, which might sound far, but the route is pleasant—lined with trees and quiet streets, making it feel more like a scenic stroll than a chore. Once you’re on the train, downtown Budapest is just minutes away. The location strikes a great balance between peace and convenience, and the overall value is excellent. I’d definitely book here again.

The single deluxe apartment is spacious, exceptionally clean, and features a bright open-plan living area with a modern kitchen—perfect for feeling at home. The neighborhood is quiet yet convenient, just a short walk from the M3 metro line, with Lidi supermarket, a shopping mall, and plenty of restaurants nearby. It’s ideal for both short stays and longer visits. The only thing to note is that it’s self-service, so there are no complimentary toiletries like shampoo or shower gel provided—this is something guests should plan for ahead of time. However, since we came prepared, it didn’t affect our comfort at all. Overall, the location, cleanliness, and cozy atmosphere make this a top choice for travelers looking for a comfortable, independent stay in Budapest.

The welcome was excellent! Breakfast and dinner were perfect, and the room was spotless and very practical. It's incredibly convenient—just a short walk to the metro, the arena, and the stadium, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The staff were extremely helpful and offered great recommendations. I felt well taken care of throughout my stay. This hotel is definitely worth recommending for both business and leisure travelers.

I booked the room with breakfast, and it was definitely worth it—the morning spread was fresh, varied, and satisfying. The hotel’s overall vibe is warm and modern, and the attention to detail really stands out. One small suggestion: adding laundry facilities would be a great upgrade, especially for longer stays or business travelers. Despite that, the experience was outstanding, and I’d happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Budapest.
City Center Rooms
The owner of this property is absolutely unacceptable—abusive, unprofessional, and completely lacking in integrity. I booked a two-night stay at Cuki Apartment in Budapest for July 19–21, 2024, paying €180 upfront with a non-refundable policy. I assumed the booking was secure after payment confirmation and didn’t think twice about it—until November 14th, when I received an email from Booking asking if I found managing my reservation easy. That’s when I realized something was wrong. I checked the booking and nearly passed out: the host had changed my dates from July 19–21 to July 29–31 without my knowledge or consent. Clearly, they were trying to charge me double by forcing a cancellation. I reported it immediately. By 1 PM, I got a message saying Booking apologized and restored my original dates. Less than five minutes later, the host changed them again! I reported once more, and by 3 PM, I received another apology and a reversal to the correct dates. But then came the shock—the system now showed a pending payment of 77 lei, claiming I’d “changed the reservation,” and warned that failure to pay by November 16 would result in cancellation. I complained again, demanding removal of this false charge. On November 15th, I got a reply that made no sense—I was told there was a policy error: the minimum stay was actually five nights, so I could only keep the reservation if I extended by three additional nights. I was furious. I pointed out that I never asked for this, and that the issue wasn’t the extension—it was the fake 77-lei fee. Still, the host kept pushing me to cancel. When I refused, they changed my dates again—this time to August 5–7, 2024. What’s most disturbing? The platform did nothing to stop or penalize the host despite repeated violations. They continued manipulating my booking with zero accountability. At that point, I gave up. I couldn’t risk arriving in Budapest only to find the door locked because of their antics. This experience has left me deeply frustrated. I expect full refund—not just a vague promise of “difference” within 7–14 days. The lack of oversight and protection for guests is alarming. If platforms allow such behavior, travelers will lose trust entirely. This is not just poor service—it’s abuse. I strongly advise anyone to avoid this property and its owner at all costs.

Even though I didn’t speak Hungarian, the front desk staff were incredibly patient and helpful—despite the language barrier, they went above and beyond to assist me with everything I needed. The location is unbeatable: just steps away from the metro and bus stops, making it easy to explore downtown Budapest and nearby attractions. And of course, Heroes’ Square is right outside the door—perfect for a morning stroll or a photo op in the afternoon sun. Great value, great service, and a prime spot for travelers who want convenience without compromising on comfort. Definitely my go-to choice for future visits to Budapest.
Ibis Budapest Stadium
Staying at Ibis Budapest Stadium was a fantastic experience! The hotel is brand new, having opened in 2023, and it really shows—everything feels modern, clean, and well-maintained. My standard room was spacious at around 17 square meters, which is noticeably larger than most other Ibis properties I’ve stayed at. It’s comfortable without feeling cramped, offering great value for the price. The location is unbeatable—right in front of a tram stop, just steps from a major bus terminal serving destinations like Italy, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, and more. Plus, it's close to a metro station, making travel across Budapest super convenient. Whether you're here for business or leisure, this hotel offers excellent access to everything. Clean, modern, and thoughtfully located—this is one of the best Ibis stays I’ve had, and I’d definitely come back.
Dean's Home Budapest
The entire experience was outstanding! We booked a room with a kitchen, but upon arrival, we realized there were no cooking essentials available. The front desk quickly resolved the issue—very prompt and helpful service. Location is excellent: just a 20-minute ride to the airport by public transit, making travel hassle-free. Though it used to be called Dean's College, the current vibe is far from institutional—more like a cozy, modern boutique stay. Clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. Great value for money and highly recommended. I’d definitely book here again on my next visit to Budapest.

The checkout time is quite early at 10:00 AM, which might be inconvenient for travelers with late flights. The chairs in the room are garden-style—uncomfortable for long periods, especially if you're working at the desk. The sheets felt a bit rough and not very soft, affecting sleep quality. There’s no shampoo or soap provided, so you’ll need to bring your own toiletries. The room lacks air conditioning, making it quite stuffy during warmer days. Wi-Fi connectivity is also a bit slow, particularly when streaming or video calling. Lastly, the shower curtain is outdated and not very practical. Despite these drawbacks, the property has strong potential. With some thoughtful upgrades—like better furniture, improved linens, added amenities, and better ventilation—the guest house could easily become a top choice. I’d still recommend it, especially for budget-conscious travelers looking for a friendly, local vibe.
