Yet despite being central, the hotel is surprisingly quiet—no street noise or disturbances. The staff were another highlight: friendly, energetic, and professional. The front desk team, especially the young lady who greeted us, made me feel welcome right away. Overall, this place delivers an excellent balance of comfort, convenience, and value. Fanni Budapest Guesthouse
The Fanni Budapest Guesthouse has a unique setup that caught me off guard. Check-in and the actual accommodation are about 500 meters apart—meaning you have to walk to get there, pay a deposit for the key, and then walk back again after check-out to return the key and get your deposit refunded. It’s exhausting, especially with luggage. While the room itself was clean and the staff were polite, the logistical hassle really took away from the experience. The location isn’t bad, but the lack of convenience in the check-in/check-out process makes it less appealing. If you're visiting Budapest, I’d recommend choosing a place closer to public transit or the city center for better flow and less walking.
