Public buses stop right outside, making it super easy to explore major attractions without hassle. Evenings are just as charming: take a relaxing stroll along the riverside, enjoy the city lights, or head to the nearby night market. But what truly blew me away was the rooftop garden—serene, spacious, and absolutely picture-perfect. Daily afternoon tea served from 2 to 4 PM is a delightful treat, where you can sip on tea and enjoy pastries while gazing over the lush mountains and winding rivers. The lobby? A masterpiece of modern Chinese design—crystal chandeliers sparkle above elegant screen partitions, creating an atmosphere that’s both refined and Instagram-ready. I couldn’t stop taking photos with my friends, and honestly, every shot felt like a postcard. This place isn’t just a stay—it’s an experience. We stayed at Tailian Hotel during our trip to Guilin, and it truly exceeded our expectations. Upon check-in, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade to a spacious room featuring a bathtub—our kids absolutely loved taking nightly baths, and the hotel even provided disposable bathtub covers for hygiene. The staff followed our special request for a non-smoking room and had all the baby essentials ready, including toys and baby-safe amenities. The room was spotless, fresh, and free of any unpleasant odors—very important when traveling with little ones. They also offered a free baby stroller, which made navigating the city much easier. The lobby served complimentary loquat tea, a local favorite, and the breakfast buffet was fantastic—varied, fresh, and well-prepared with both Western and Chinese options. Perfect for fueling up before heading out to explore nearby attractions like Li River and Elephant Trunk Hill. While there’s no full-length mirror or extendable makeup mirror in the room, this minor detail didn’t detract from the overall experience. The location is unbeatable—everything is within walking distance, and there are countless restaurants just steps away. With excellent service, great value, and family-friendly facilities, we’ll definitely be returning next time we visit Guilin. Highly recommended!
