Honestly, I'm baffled by the 4.4 rating on the platform—this place deserves way more. We stayed in room 3009 and were upgraded by the front desk, which was a lovely surprise. The room was spacious, quiet, and impeccably clean with big windows that flooded the space with natural light—morning sunrises were absolutely beautiful. Compared to the adjacent 3010 room, ours felt significantly larger. The elevator was fast and silent, a huge upgrade from the other Oakwood property in the same complex. When we arrived, two friendly staff members immediately came over to help with our luggage and even carried it straight to our room—something I’ve never experienced at a five-star hotel like the Garden Hotel, where you’re always left to carry your own bags. Even the chance to tip was missing! Breakfast was small but thoughtfully curated—each item was delicious and fresh. Sitting by the window enjoying a quiet morning meal while watching the city come alive was pure joy. The staff in the dining area were warm, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic. This was hands down the best hotel experience of our trip—having stayed at the Jin Mao in Shanghai, the Garden Hotel in Guangzhou, and the Guoguang Haosheng in Sanya. In the evening, I had a delicious Cantonese meal right downstairs and then strolled over to Huacheng Plaza, where the night views were stunning. Being centrally located in Zhujiang New Town, the proximity to major attractions made sightseeing effortless. For the price, the value-for-money is outstanding — no need to worry about transportation, just step out and explore.
