Cocktails were crafted with care and served in vintage glassware, though martinis and old-fashioneds could use a bit more spirit. Breakfast was outstanding—full of variety and delicious options, including the ability to order avocado toast, truffled omelette, or œufs à la coque à la carte. Definitely book the B&B rate to avoid the surprise €39 per person fee if you’re not already included. Angelo’s, the hotel’s Italian restaurant, looked tempting but leaned toward the pricier side—we opted for dining out each night in Lyon’s culinary capital district instead. Staff were genuinely warm and attentive throughout. This hotel easily ranks among my top three reasonably priced boutique stays in Europe.

Our family evening at Cour des Loges Lyon, A Radisson Collection Hotel was absolutely unforgettable — a perfect blend of elegance, warmth, and exceptional dining. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like long-time guests, with genuine hospitality that put us at ease right away. The restaurant’s cuisine is truly special, featuring local ingredients like Mézenc beef, fresh mountain foraged produce, omble chevalier, confit veal with Beaujolais cider, and cheeses from Villechenève — each dish told a story of the region’s rich culinary heritage. A heartfelt thanks to Chef Anthony Bonnet for his creative, thoughtful cooking. The bar team also shined with expertly crafted cocktails that elevated the whole experience. It’s only a matter of time before this gem earns a star in a famous culinary guide. We’re already planning our return — just to relive a little more of this joy.

I had my first-ever experience with a croissant sandwiched with strawberry jam and hoisin sauce—unexpected but surprisingly delicious! There was a little mix-up with my tea order: I asked for a cup of black tea, but the server handed me a tea bag instead. By the time I realized it, I’d already opened it—so I ended up drinking it anyway, which made for a funny moment. It didn’t ruin the experience at all—it actually added a touch of charm.
