I've stayed in countless five-star hotels, guesthouses, and hostels around the world — but this is the first time I’ve actually skipped a shower because I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the showerhead. Yes, really! That said, overall experience was solid. The price is very reasonable for what you get, and the breakfast spread was surprisingly generous — plenty of fresh fruit, bread, pastries, and coffee. The staff were super helpful when I explained my shower dilemma; they patiently showed me how it worked and even checked back later to make sure everything was okay. Location-wise, it’s well-connected to public transport — just a short ride into central Lisbon. There are great local eateries nearby, and the atmosphere at the hostel is friendly and welcoming. Despite that tiny hiccup, I’d definitely consider staying here again if I’m back in Lisbon. Great value and a memorable stay.

There wasn’t even a coffee capsule available for the machine in the kitchen, which was frustrating. The bathroom was visibly dirty, and the bedspread looked old and stained. The overall feel of the place was outdated and lacked care in maintenance. While the location is great and the rate is fair, the lack of basic hygiene and upkeep really affected my experience. It’s not something I’d recommend for a second stay.
