Sanctuary Lake Apartments
This lakeside retreat completely surpassed my expectations for a holiday home. The apartment is incredibly comfortable and thoughtfully equipped—from kitchen essentials to laundry facilities, a tumble dryer, Netflix, a hot tub, air conditioning, and even an indoor parking spot. I even saw guests relaxing in the outdoor spa on a chilly winter day—pure bliss. Located just steps from the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, you can enjoy a warm breakfast (even if you're not visiting the park), dining outdoors or under cover while sharing the space with free-roaming birds. Feeding the lorikeets is also open to the public before entering the sanctuary—such a fun, memorable touch. The stunning beach is only a 2-minute walk away, and there are plenty of great restaurants (both dine-in and drive-thru) plus shopping centers within a 15-minute drive. Best of all, it’s super close to the airport—so easy to head straight here after picking up your rental car. We’ll definitely be back for our next getaway.

The staff were warm and welcoming upon arrival, setting a great tone for our stay. The location is absolutely stunning, with spacious units that felt like home. It's perfect for families—our unit even had a full kitchen, washer, and dryer, which made things so convenient. Having shops right across the road was a huge plus; we could grab everything we needed without having to go far. That said, don’t forget bug spray—midgies were quite aggressive, and we did find a few personal items left behind under the beds. We couldn’t reach the restaurant team, but thankfully there were plenty of dining options just steps away at the nearby shops. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience. We were genuinely sad to leave and will definitely be back.

Due to personal circumstances, we had to cancel our booking last minute, but Meg was incredibly understanding and helpful. Her genuine care and flexibility made the process stress-free and truly reassuring. She went above and beyond to assist us, showing kindness that felt personal and heartfelt. The level of service here is outstanding—warm, professional, and genuinely attentive. The resort itself is beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly located for exploring the Gold Coast. We’re already planning our return trip next year and will definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

The property itself was immaculate, with tidy grounds and friendly, helpful staff. Despite being a budget-friendly option, it never felt cheap or basic—definitely exceeded expectations. It’s just a 10-minute walk to Burleigh Village, right next to a bus stop, and only a 30-second hop to the beach—perfect for beach lovers. The only minor issue was occasional hot water inconsistency around 8–9 AM when everyone was showering, but that happened just once. Free parking in the underground garage and fast, reliable Wi-Fi are great bonuses. Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay in Burleigh, and I’d absolutely return without hesitation.

One thing to note—there are quite a few stairs throughout the property, so if you're sensitive to that, it’s worth considering. But overall, the experience was outstanding, especially with the unbeatable coastal setting and friendly staff. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking to enjoy the relaxed Gold Coast lifestyle.

Rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and feel like a home away from home. Whether you're sipping coffee on the balcony at sunrise or enjoying a quiet evening by the sea, this place truly delivers on relaxation and comfort. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with a touch of luxury, this is it. Definitely worth returning to again and again.

The unit was functional and had most essentials, but the two flights of steep stairs made access difficult, especially for older guests or children. The bedroom faces a parking area behind the hotel, which gets quite noisy in the morning. The air conditioning didn’t reach the bedroom effectively, making it uncomfortable to sleep in during the night. The nearest bus stop is a 20-minute walk to Coolangatta Beach Pool—quite a long way for a casual visit. Plus, the furniture could use a thorough cleaning. Overall, it’s not the most convenient or relaxing stay, especially if you’re looking for comfort and quiet.
