A truly unforgettable experience—highly recommended!

The staff went above and beyond with their warm welcome and excellent service. The lobby is spotless, well-organized, and welcoming. I was genuinely taken care of—I even got helpful suggestions for local sights and activities. The attention to detail and hospitality made my stay feel personal and memorable. Definitely a standout choice in Salvador.

Hotel Don Juan is located near the historic center of Salvador, which makes it convenient for exploring the city. The area is a bit risky at night, so I’d recommend being cautious after dark. The hotel itself is decent — clean rooms and a surprisingly good breakfast with a nice variety. However, the front desk service was a major letdown. The platform advertised 24-hour reception, but when we needed to check out early (at 6:00 AM) for a tour, the front desk was completely empty and the door locked. We had to track down the receptionist in another part of the building, who responded with irritation, scolding us for not informing them in advance about our departure time. That was extremely inconvenient and felt totally unreasonable. Given how early we were leaving, expecting guests to plan ahead like that isn’t practical. While the hotel’s basic amenities are solid, this poor experience significantly affected my overall impression. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, especially if you’re planning an early morning schedule.

Staff throughout the property are friendly and attentive, especially the kitchen team whose warmth really stood out. However, one major concern stands out: the manager was consistently seen without a mask during the Omicron surge, even in common areas. This lack of basic hygiene awareness was disappointing and concerning, especially in such a sensitive period. While the location, cleanliness, and overall service make this a solid choice, the management's disregard for health protocols is a significant drawback. Hope future guests won’t have to face the same issue.

Marazul Hotel
This hotel doesn’t actually exist—there’s nothing but construction barriers blocking the entire property. I booked through the platform, only to find out it’s completely closed and abandoned. It’s really misleading that this listing is still active. I’d strongly recommend travelers and locals alike to leave feedback to warn others—don’t get caught like I did. The lack of updates and transparency is disappointing, especially when you’re relying on accurate info for your trip. This place should be taken down from the site.

It’s rare to find such a reliable, comfortable, and welcoming place, especially at this price point. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip to Salvador—and I’ve already recommended it to friends.

The stay at this hotel was absolutely fantastic! The room was quiet and well-insulated, making it a peaceful retreat after a day exploring Salvador. Location-wise, it's incredibly convenient: just a short walk to Salvador Shopping and right next to the metro station, so getting around town is a breeze. I originally booked a standard room, but due to an issue with the air conditioning, the staff kindly upgraded me to a larger suite with two TVs, a comfortable sofa, and a dining table—way more spacious and enjoyable than expected. The team was attentive and efficient in handling the change without any hassle. Overall, the service, comfort, and value for money were outstanding. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Salvador—great experience from start to finish.

Location-wise, it’s perfect for tourists: all major attractions are within walking distance, making sightseeing effortless and enjoyable. One thing to note for guests with mobility concerns: request a ground-floor or street-level room in advance, as there’s no elevator and several flights of stairs lead up to the rooms. That said, every other aspect of the stay was exceptional. Huge thanks to the team at Pousada Bahia Morena and to everyone in Salvador for creating such a memorable experience—we’ll be back!
Love Story (Adult Only)
My stay at Love Story Hotel (Adult Only) in Salvador, Brazil was extremely disappointing. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, the shower provided only cold water—no hot water at all—which made for a very unpleasant experience. To make matters worse, there was no internet connection in the room, which was a major inconvenience for me. I requested a discount, but was told it wasn’t possible. I also asked about upgrading to a better room, but that was denied too. In the end, we were stuck with just one bed and no comfort whatsoever. The entire experience felt underwhelming and poorly managed. For the price and location, this hotel simply doesn’t deliver. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
