Staying at Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid was an absolute delight. The location is perfect—just a short walk from the city center and surrounded by great dining options and attractions. My only minor concern is that after the recent renovation, the door to the room doesn’t seem to have strong soundproofing—voices from the hallway, rolling luggage, or service carts are clearly audible, especially late at night. It’s a small downside, but honestly, it doesn’t take away from the overall exceptional experience. The hotel’s elegance, comfort, and service far outweigh this one issue. If you’re looking for a refined stay in Madrid, this is definitely a top-tier choice.

Staying at Thompson Madrid was an absolute highlight of my trip to Spain. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming—by far the friendliest hotel team I encountered throughout my entire journey. The room itself was spacious by European standards, especially the bathroom, which felt more like a luxury suite than a standard hotel room. The amenities were top-notch: high-quality toiletries with a subtle, refreshing scent, and the bar cabinet was stylish and well-designed. We also received a thoughtful welcome gift—a bottle of local olive oil, very authentic. One of the best things? The soundproofing—completely silent from the hallway, so no noise disturbances at all. The only downside is the location: while central and convenient, the area around the hotel can feel chaotic at night. There are lots of tourists mixed with some suspicious characters hanging around narrow alleys, and as someone of Asian descent, I felt noticeably more vulnerable. For safety, I’d strongly recommend taking taxis instead of walking, especially after dark—don’t risk it for a few euros saved. Overall, this hotel delivers exceptional value, stunning design, and outstanding service. A must-stay if you're visiting Madrid.

This recently renovated hotel offers a clean, comfortable stay with a great location. Despite having 7 floors and somewhat old-fashioned elevators, they work perfectly fine and don’t hinder the experience at all. The real highlight is the unbeatable location—situated right between two metro stations (Gran Via and Sevilla), with a bus stop just outside the door. It’s only a 3-minute walk to Primark, and you can reach Plaza Mayor, along with the famous Bear and Strawberry Tree monument, in under 15 minutes on foot. Perfect for exploring Madrid’s city center without needing a car. Great value, excellent convenience, and a top choice for travelers who want both comfort and accessibility.
