I’ve always preferred staying at the Golden Park Hotel, as it consistently delivers a comfortable and welcoming experience. However, in recent visits, I’ve been repeatedly woken up by noise in the hallways during the night. It’s a bit disruptive to the overall quality of rest, especially after such a good reputation for comfort and service. The hotel has great potential, and with minor improvements—like better sound insulation or evening staff checks—this could be an even more relaxing stay. Still, I’d definitely return if these issues were addressed.

The hostel is conveniently located near the metro, making it easy to get around Rio. However, the staff experience was extremely disappointing. We had to ask permission every time we wanted to store or retrieve items from the shared fridge—repeated requests made it incredibly inconvenient. In the morning, we needed our breakfast supplies right away, but were forced to wait two hours because the owner refused to let us access our things until the cleaner arrived, even though it was just one floor up. When I went to get my stuff, the owner became angry, yelled at me, and used a disrespectful term I won’t repeat. At that point, we left immediately. While the location is good and prices are reasonable, the lack of basic respect and poor communication completely ruined our stay. Not worth it.

However, I'm disappointed with the lack of communication and refund after canceling my booking—despite promises, I waited over three months with no response or resolution. It's also worth noting that safety concerns mean you’ll need to rely on Uber to get around at night, which adds extra cost and inconvenience. While the location and atmosphere are decent, poor customer service significantly impacts the overall experience.
