I absolutely loved my stay at Mándala Hotel Belén! The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, and having 24/7 service made the entire experience so much more convenient. I can't recommend Med la Palma Hotel enough! The place is spotlessly clean, and the staff goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Even though the rooms are modest in size and the windows are on the smaller side, they're well-designed and perfectly functional. What really stands out is the incredible value for money—this hotel delivers a luxury experience without the luxury price tag. Right across the street is the metro station, making it super easy to explore downtown Medellín. Plus, just a short walk away is a massive shopping center with currency exchange, plenty of stores, and great dining options. Everything you need is within walking distance. Overall, this was one of the best stays I've had in Colombia—excellent location, friendly service, and top-notch cleanliness. I’ll definitely be back!
Orbe Hotel
I absolutely loved staying at Orbe Hotel! The location is excellent, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. One thing to note is that there's a bar right next to the hotel that stays open late with loud music—this might be an issue if you're sensitive to noise or prefer a quiet evening. I’d recommend requesting a higher floor for better sound insulation. Despite that, the overall experience was fantastic, and I’d definitely stay here again. Great value for money!

The staff here are incredibly friendly and always welcoming, making you feel right at home. That said, the rooms aren’t cleaned daily, and towels aren’t changed every day—something to keep in mind if you’re expecting a full housekeeping service. Still, everything else was great: the location is convenient, the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, and the overall value for money is solid. I’d definitely stay here again on my next trip to Medellín.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay here. The staff provided terrible service and the entire place felt dirty and poorly maintained. Constant noise from guests and loud music played by the manager made it impossible to sleep. There were dogs barking throughout the night, and the surrounding area was full of noisy people. The doors didn’t even close properly—really concerning for safety. Even the towels were damp and clearly not cleaned between guests. Overall, the condition of the property was awful, the management was unprofessional, and the atmosphere was far from peaceful. This is definitely not a place I’d recommend or return to.

This has easily been the best hostel I've stayed at in years—so much so that I brought two friends back for an extended stay. The location is unbeatable: right across from a fantastic, free outdoor sports complex, yet still close enough to all the great spots in Medellín. The kitchen is top-tier—restaurant-quality stove and plenty of space to cook and hang out. I never had any issues with Wi-Fi throughout my months-long stay. The vibe strikes the perfect balance between work and play; I could focus during the day and still enjoy peace and quiet at night. The staff are friendly, helpful, and professional. It’s rare to find a place that feels like home while still being full of energy and community. Highly recommend for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a welcoming atmosphere.
Hotel Casa Malibu - Hostel
Staying at Hotel Casa Malibu was a frustrating experience from start to finish. The front desk staff was unfriendly and unhelpful, showing no willingness to assist with guest concerns. The room itself felt poorly maintained—old, worn sheets made it hard to feel clean, and the cable TV only offered 10 local channels, which was extremely limiting. The bathroom faucet was faulty, requiring manual adjustment of the main water valve just to get water flowing, which was incredibly inconvenient. To make matters worse, check-out time was not respected—despite being told we’d be on schedule, we were pressured by a staff member who stood outside our door, repeatedly knocking and waiting impatiently for us to leave. It felt more like being evicted than checked out. Overall, the treatment was disrespectful and uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone—it’s a guaranteed negative experience.
