Staying at the Four Seasons Hotel Lion Palace in St. Petersburg was an absolute delight. The location is unbeatable—just steps away from Saint Isaac’s Cathedral and the Hermitage Museum, with a short walk to the riverfront and Nevsky Prospekt. I didn’t need a taxi once during my entire trip; everything was within walking distance. The hotel itself is stunning, with elegant architecture and refined interiors that capture the grandeur of the city’s history. The room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and the bath amenities were luxurious—high-quality products that made every moment feel special. From check-in to checkout, the service was seamless and attentive. This isn’t just a place to sleep—it’s an experience. If you’re visiting St. Petersburg, this hotel is absolutely worth it.

We stayed overnight at the Aparthotel Vertical in St. Petersburg, booking the Popova apartment for a team of seven athletes plus our coach. The space was more than sufficient for eight people—no crowding at all—and the photos truly matched reality. The soundproofing in the unit is excellent; even with loud music outside, we couldn’t hear anything when the door was closed. The kitchenette is fully equipped with a sink, stove, refrigerator, microwave, kettle, cutlery, and a complete set of dishes—including dessert plates, dinner plates, and a salad bowl—for everyone. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Bed linens were crisp white and fresh, and the pillows and duvet provided great comfort. One small note: the upper-level bedrooms felt a bit warm during the night. Adding an air conditioner or installing a skylight-style window could help improve ventilation. The hotel also features a Belgian restaurant with an impressive selection of Belgian beers. You can access it either from inside the building or directly from the street—a convenient touch. Staff at reception were friendly and helpful. In the lobby, right across from the front desk, there’s a large aquarium filled with turtles and other aquatic life. If you’re waiting to check in, it’s nice to just relax and watch the fish swim around. Overall, the stay left a very positive impression. I’d definitely recommend this place to friends and would happily return.

I arrived early, and the staff warmly welcomed me—after a quick nap on the sofa and a light breakfast, I was ready to explore the city. As soon as my room was ready, they called me right away. The place stayed clean throughout my stay, with fresh towels regularly replaced. The shower worked perfectly—something I really value. Breakfast was simple but satisfying: always hot, tasty porridge, sausages, eggs, butter, cheese, and more. There was even a mini-fridge in the room. No air conditioning, but since the building is old with thick walls, it stayed comfortably cool—even during the hottest days of August. I came here mainly to explore more of St. Petersburg and visit areas I hadn’t seen before, and the hotel was perfect for that. Everything was within walking distance: Nevsky Prospekt, the Admiralty, metro stations if needed, and just a few steps from bus stop 17–18, which runs sightseeing tours. There are tons of cafes, eateries, and restaurants nearby—great options for every budget—including the famous pastry shop, just across the bridge. In the evenings, I loved relaxing in the common area with a cup of tea, chatting with the friendly front desk staff. It felt like coming home. This place offers incredible value and charm. Definitely worth staying at.

Breakfast feels like home-cooked meals: varied daily options including porridge, scrambled eggs, sausages, pasta, rustic potatoes, mashed potatoes, cutlets, meatballs, fresh salads, juices, milk, tea, and coffee—all delicious and high quality. The dining area is a bit small, but it’s easy to avoid crowding by choosing quieter times. Location-wise, it’s incredibly convenient—right next to a bus stop and just two metro stops away, with several cafes, restaurants, and a 'Producty' grocery store nearby. A big plus: accessible rooms and wheelchair-friendly entry. Inside the room, you’ll find a TV, kettle, tea/coffee supplies, toiletries, and more—everything you’d need. Special shoutout to the housekeeping team—they’re thorough, efficient, and never intrusive. I’m genuinely impressed and hope the hotel maintains this consistently high standard. The room was small but perfectly adequate for a one- or two-night stay if you're mainly using it to sleep. The hotel feels a bit worn down overall, and the room definitely needs renovation. Still, it comes with basic amenities like an electric kettle, humidifier, TV, and hairdryer. They provide a toothbrush, toothpaste, and slippers—small touches that make the stay more comfortable. Water pressure is good, and both hot and cold water work well. There's a drinking water dispenser on site, plus an iron and ironing board available if needed. Breakfast includes tea, instant porridge, a sandwich, and a couple of small chocolate bars—simple but filling enough to start the day. It’s not luxury, but for a budget-friendly stopover, it gets the job done. If you’re just passing through and don’t mind a dated vibe, this could be a decent option.

Breakfast was outstanding: a generous buffet with a wide variety of high-quality dishes. I enjoyed scrambled eggs, sausages, pasta, oatmeal, cheese pancakes, muesli—all delicious and well-prepared. You can even take some candies and apples to go, and there’s a sweet treat like croissants and doughnuts for dessert. There’s also a cozy restaurant inside the hotel with live music in the evenings—super charming, and the staff there are just as warm and welcoming. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable. Right next to the metro, you’re steps away from Volchek’s bakery, 85 Factory, Vkusvill, and Pirogovy Dvorik. A large shopping center is nearby too. And if you’re into history and architecture, the Yusupov Palace and St. Isaac’s Cathedral are literally around the corner. I stayed on May 1st when it was chilly outside, but inside the hotel was warmly heated—the radiators worked perfectly. Overall, this place offers incredible comfort, great food, and a wonderful location—all wrapped up in a peaceful, inviting atmosphere.

We stayed here as a family of three, and it was the perfect choice! The room was spacious, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable family trip—especially great for kids. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the attention to detail made us feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering local tips and directions that made exploring the city easy. We initially booked just a few days, but when we realized how much we loved it—especially during the National Day holiday period—we were disappointed to find out the hotel was fully booked for the remaining days. We had to switch to another place last minute. That said, this experience only confirms that we’ll definitely book here again on our next visit to St. Petersburg. It’s not just convenient—it’s truly special.
