The front desk staff spoke fluent English and even arranged early check-in. Midway through our stay, housekeeping came by and noticed we’d taken extra towels—they quietly added three more sets! No additional fees for three guests—such a thoughtful touch. Oh, and the free 1-hour sauna? We missed it completely—we thought the guided tour was just a walk-through, but when we got dressed and realized what it actually was, we were heartbroken! Still, the breakfast wasn’t overly varied but surprisingly delicious—worth every penny, especially at around $100 per person. Service was lightning-fast—anything we asked for was handled promptly. And since there’s a step at the entrance, they’ll happily help carry luggage up or down. This place feels like a hidden gem. There are plenty of dining options nearby: budget-friendly cafes, as well as great restaurants like Linfords, Nebо i Vino, and Pтицы (Birds), plus a convenient Dixy supermarket. The hotel itself is housed in a beautifully preserved old mansion, which gives it a truly unique character. My room faced an inner courtyard—quiet, peaceful, and completely free from noise from neighboring rooms. Though the room is vintage with original details—like a corner stove, ornate ceiling plasterwork, and creaky wooden floors—I found these charming rather than bothersome. The heating worked perfectly during January, and I actually opened the window for fresh air. The bathroom had strong water pressure, a reliable hairdryer, and good shower gel. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. With such a cozy atmosphere, authentic charm, and a price that’s incredibly reasonable, this hotel stands out. If you’re looking for a memorable, intimate stay in St. Petersburg without breaking the bank, this is absolutely worth booking.
