We spent two full days just relaxing by the pool and on the beach, doing nothing but soaking in the vibe. We checked in early and were initially assigned a sea-view room at the end of the building, but my husband wanted something better, so we switched rooms twice before landing on a great one. It was worth the effort. The only downside? The price is steep—nearly $400 per night—but honestly, given the location, service, and overall experience, it’s not unreasonable. It’s just hard on the wallet when you’re budget-conscious!

The location is wonderfully quiet and peaceful, yet just steps away from the charming cafes and lively restaurants of Santa Teresa, which come alive both day and night. This neighborhood alone makes the trip worthwhile. Villa Laurinda truly stands out as a unique gem in Rio de Janeiro—a place that feels special from the moment you arrive, and one I’d happily return to again.
