Staying at Occidental Praha was a truly enjoyable experience overall. The staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly and helpful, making check-in and check-out smooth and welcoming. The hotel is located in a quiet yet convenient area—close to public transport and within walking distance of several attractions. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and surprisingly comfortable, with a good balance between modern amenities and cozy atmosphere. What really stood out was the breakfast buffet—it’s easily the best in the neighborhood. Plenty of fresh options, great variety, and excellent quality for the price. With a private bathroom, air conditioning, and modern amenities, it offered great comfort without breaking the bank. Overall, the value for money is outstanding. Staying at Abitohotel was an absolute delight for the price we paid. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and all the amenities worked perfectly—no surprises or glitches. The staff went above and beyond; when we accidentally locked ourselves out, they responded quickly and with a smile. Breakfast was simple but fresh and tasty—just right to start the day. The hotel is super well-located: a short bus ride takes you straight into the heart of Prague, and there’s a Burger King right outside the front door. Perfect for convenience and value. Would definitely stay here again.
River Star Hotel
This was easily the worst place I've ever stayed, even worse than sleeping on an empty beer can outside. The room was tiny, filthy, and lacked basic amenities—no support for the showerhead, power cut out at outlets when the light was switched off, and breakfast consisted of generic store-bought cookies. To top it all, I couldn't sleep a wink due to zero soundproofing. My neighbor seemed to have booked some kind of special service—their 'roommate' screamed nonstop until 5 AM. Kudos to them, but not to the hotel. Saving €15 wasn’t worth the misery. Never again.

One small note: the room had a faint odor that could be improved, and the windows didn’t seal perfectly, letting in a bit of cold draft during the evening. But honestly, these are minor issues—especially when you consider how well-priced and comfortable the stay was overall. If you’re looking for a quiet, clean, and centrally located place to stay in Prague without breaking the bank, this is definitely a top choice.

That said, nighttime noise was an issue—so much so that I had to go to the front desk at 3 a.m. to ask for help quieting down a noisy guest. Staff didn’t speak English, but we managed to communicate through gestures and simple words. They even accompanied me to the room, and once they spoke to the guests, things calmed down enough for me to finally get some rest. The location is a bit outside the city center, so you’ll need to take public transit or walk a little farther to reach main attractions. Still, the quiet after the disturbance and the comfortable room made up for it. If you’re looking for a peaceful, no-frills place with decent value, this could be a solid choice.
