Renartiss Isaakiy St.Petersburg Hotel (ex. Renaissance St Petersburg Baltic)
Staying at Renartiss Isaakiy in Saint Petersburg was a fantastic experience. The hotel is perfectly located right in the heart of the city, just steps away from St. Isaac's Cathedral and within walking distance to the Winter Palace. Public transport is super convenient, making it easy to explore everything nearby. The room itself was clean, spacious, and well-maintained—very comfortable for our stay. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and spoke excellent English, which made check-in and check-out smooth. One thing to note: there’s a mandatory 350 rubles per person immigration registration fee upon departure, and it must be paid in cash. We recommend bringing some cash just in case. Overall, this hotel offers great value, exceptional location, and a welcoming atmosphere—definitely a top choice for anyone visiting Saint Petersburg.
Aparthotel Vertical
We stayed overnight at the Aparthotel Vertical in St. Petersburg, booking the Popova apartment for a team of seven athletes plus our coach. The space was more than sufficient for eight people—no crowding at all—and the photos truly matched reality. The soundproofing in the unit is excellent; even with loud music outside, we couldn’t hear anything when the door was closed. The kitchenette is fully equipped with a sink, stove, refrigerator, microwave, kettle, cutlery, and a complete set of dishes—including dessert plates, dinner plates, and a salad bowl—for everyone. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Bed linens were crisp white and fresh, and the pillows and duvet provided great comfort. One small note: the upper-level bedrooms felt a bit warm during the night. Adding an air conditioner or installing a skylight-style window could help improve ventilation. The hotel also features a Belgian restaurant with an impressive selection of Belgian beers. You can access it either from inside the building or directly from the street—a convenient touch. Staff at reception were friendly and helpful. In the lobby, right across from the front desk, there’s a large aquarium filled with turtles and other aquatic life. If you’re waiting to check in, it’s nice to just relax and watch the fish swim around. Overall, the stay left a very positive impression. I’d definitely recommend this place to friends and would happily return.

Solo Moyka
Absolutely loved every single aspect of this stay! The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, with wide window sills perfect for sitting and gazing out at the Moyka River—such a peaceful view. The staff, especially Alena, was incredibly kind and professional—truly a gem! Every room came with thoughtful touches: a little treat basket with candies and tea, and a fridge on each floor for convenience. Fresh, aromatic coffee was always available in the kitchen in the morning—used to come with cookies too (and my friends who opted for breakfast said it was delicious). But honestly, the highlight was the huge hydro-massage bathtub—it made every evening feel like a luxury retreat. This place feels like home, yet so much more. I can’t recommend Solo Moyka 82 enough—my favorite stay in St. Petersburg!

Stayed from June 19 to 26 — the location couldn’t be better. Everything is within walking distance: shops, cafes, restaurants, and attractions are all just steps away. The room was small but spotlessly clean, and housekeeping came by every day, which was a nice touch. Our unit faced the inner courtyard, so it was quiet and peaceful — perfect for a good night’s sleep. One tip: if you need air conditioning, make sure to request it during booking, as it wasn’t included in the room. We didn’t opt for breakfast, so I can’t comment on the food quality, but there are countless dining options nearby, ranging from cozy cafés to authentic Russian eateries — great variety for every taste. Overall, this place offers excellent value, convenience, and comfort. Definitely worth staying again.
Volkov Hotel

Mir na Nevskom
The hostel is conveniently located, with most attractions within walking distance—perfect for independent travelers who want to explore on foot. That said, the cleanliness and upkeep were a major disappointment. The white doors looked dirty and stained, clearly in need of a good wash or even repainting. The walls weren’t white anymore—they were dusty and discolored. Over the course of our week-long stay, we never saw any housekeeping: no linen changes, no towel replacements, not even a quick tidy-up. On the ground floor, renovation work seemed to have been done ages ago, but there’s no maintenance now—peeling wallpaper, water stains, and dust everywhere. It’s frustrating to see such basic neglect. A little effort in cleaning and minor repairs would go a long way. Instead of hanging distracting artwork on the walls, management should focus on fixing what’s already broken. Honestly, if it were cleaner and better maintained, I’d be more likely to recommend it. As it stands, it’s only worth considering if you’re on a tight budget and just need a place to sleep.
