Sonata on Nevsky 5 Palace Square

The location is absolutely fantastic—just a 2-3 minute walk to the Hermitage Museum, and other major attractions are easily reachable with just a short bus ride. Getting to the railway station for Lake Ladoga or other destinations is also very convenient. It’s only about an 8-9 minute walk to the famous Bookstore, and there are fast food options like Burger King and McDonald’s nearby. There’s even a gift shop right on the ground floor. The only downside was that the photos provided by the platform were misleading—I thought I had to enter through the main entrance, but it’s actually a smaller side entrance. Once inside, the elevator makes getting to the 4th-floor front desk easy. One tip: if you’re tall, the loft-standard room might feel cramped. Upgrading to a regular flat-ceiling room is definitely worth it for more space and comfort. Overall, this place offers excellent value and a great stay in St. Petersburg.

Travelto Kazanskaya 12

I was truly impressed by the cleanliness and overall atmosphere of this hotel. What stood out most was that it's completely non-smoking—this really makes a difference in the rooms, where the air felt fresh and invigorating. Everything was spotless, from the crisp, starched linens to the tidy furnishings. It was especially important for my friends and me to stay in a place that felt cozy and hygienic, and this hotel delivered perfectly. The attention to detail shows genuine care. Plus, the location is convenient—just a short metro ride away from the city center. I highly recommend this gem to travelers who value cleanliness, comfort, and a peaceful environment. Keep up the great work—it’s clear you’re committed to excellence!

Sonata on Nevsky 11 Palace Square

The hotel's location is fantastic—just a short walk from the Winter Palace and Nevsky Prospect, making it super convenient for sightseeing. The only thing to note is that there’s no elevator in the building, so if you’re traveling with heavy luggage or have mobility concerns, it might be worth considering. The room and kitchen are spotlessly clean, with fresh linens and a comfortable mattress that made for a great night’s sleep. All toiletries are provided—no need to pack extra. Breakfast is available upon request, and there’s always a water cooler with coffee and tea ready whenever you want a drink. It’s a well-maintained, cozy place with excellent value, and I’d definitely stay here again.

Landorf Hotel

This hotel is an absolute gem! The location is perfect—nestled in a quiet courtyard, far from noisy streets and bustling bars, which made for a peaceful stay. The room on the 5th floor was spacious and incredibly quiet, with a stunning view of the city through the windows. Everything you need is provided: TV, tea set, slippers, towels, shampoo—all thoughtfully included. The staff were warm and welcoming, and they offered free luggage storage before check-in and after checkout, which was super convenient. One little bonus I didn’t expect? A working elevator! That made carrying heavy bags so much easier. It’s rare to find such comfort, cleanliness, and attention to detail in one place. This is not just a hotel—it’s a delightful experience. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Saint Petersburg.

Sokroma Wow Hotel

We stayed at Sokroma Wow Hotel in St. Petersburg from September 18th to 22nd, and it was truly a highlight of our trip. The room (Room 10) was cozy and beautifully appointed, but what made the experience unforgettable was the hotel’s central location—right in the heart of the city. We didn’t need to rely on transport at all; every day we wandered through historic streets, soaking in the charm and atmosphere of St. Petersburg. My mom fell in love with the city instantly, and that magic began the moment we stepped out the door. But the real magic came from the staff—especially Elizaveta. She went above and beyond with genuine warmth and care. Her attentiveness wasn’t just professional—it felt personal, like she truly wanted us to feel at home. It’s rare to find someone who makes you feel so welcomed and valued, and she genuinely made our stay more than just a place to sleep. She brought heart to the entire experience. The balance of comfort, service, and location is perfect here. If you’re looking for an authentic, memorable stay in St. Petersburg, this hotel delivers in every way. I’d absolutely come back—and recommend it to anyone who wants to feel the soul of the city.

Amarant Hotel

Staying at Amarant Hotel was an absolute delight from start to finish. The rooms are cozy and thoughtfully designed—warm lighting, clean lines, and a peaceful atmosphere that made me feel right at home. I especially loved the breakfast: fresh pastries, perfectly cooked eggs, and a good selection of local treats—ideal for starting the day right. Located just a short walk from the city center, it’s incredibly convenient for exploring St. Petersburg’s top sights without needing to travel far. The staff were genuinely welcoming—the front desk, Kirill, in particular, went above and beyond to help with everything, always with a smile. His professionalism and kindness made a lasting impression. I left feeling not just well-rested, but truly cared for. This hotel offers incredible value and charm. I’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

Mir na Nevskom

The hostel is conveniently located, with most attractions within walking distance—perfect for independent travelers who want to explore on foot. That said, the cleanliness and upkeep were a major disappointment. The white doors looked dirty and stained, clearly in need of a good wash or even repainting. The walls weren’t white anymore—they were dusty and discolored. Over the course of our week-long stay, we never saw any housekeeping: no linen changes, no towel replacements, not even a quick tidy-up. On the ground floor, renovation work seemed to have been done ages ago, but there’s no maintenance now—peeling wallpaper, water stains, and dust everywhere. It’s frustrating to see such basic neglect. A little effort in cleaning and minor repairs would go a long way. Instead of hanging distracting artwork on the walls, management should focus on fixing what’s already broken. Honestly, if it were cleaner and better maintained, I’d be more likely to recommend it. As it stands, it’s only worth considering if you’re on a tight budget and just need a place to sleep.

Central House Hotel - Hostel

This place was a terrible experience from start to finish. The entire building reeked of mustiness—every room, every corridor, even the shared spaces had that stale, old-house smell. The laminate flooring was warped and peeling, clearly just a cheap cover-up for poor maintenance. Suspended ceilings made me suspect there was old plaster underneath, which likely contributed to the persistent odor. There were no air conditioners, no proper ventilation—just unbearable heat and stuffiness, especially in summer. The bedding was worn out, faded, and looked like it had been washed too many times. In the showers, there wasn’t even a single hook for clothes—completely impractical. The hostel spans multiple floors, but the kitchen is only on the second floor, and staff don’t arrive until 9 AM. If you’re heading out early for sightseeing, forget about making tea or coffee—you’ll need your own kettle. The management’s attitude was downright dismissive, bordering on rude. One response I got: "If you don’t like it, just leave." That kind of comment really soured the whole stay. Thankfully, they refunded my money without hassle—but honestly, the damage was already done. I felt drained and depressed after each day trip; coming back here felt like a chore. I booked through a company called Yulana, but when issues arose, both the hostel and the agency pointed fingers at each other. Neither took responsibility. No one was truly at fault, but that didn’t make the experience any better. Avoid this place if you value comfort, cleanliness, and basic respect.

Volkov Hotel

Staying at Volkov Hotel was a delightful experience. The hotel is cozy and well-maintained, with a surprisingly spacious and clean room that felt more than comfortable for a short trip. Breakfast was a highlight—freshly made omelets and pancakes that were delicious and satisfying. While it's a bit of a walk from the metro, it wasn't an issue for me since I was mostly exploring on foot or by taxi. The location is quiet and safe, perfect for unwinding after a busy day of sightseeing. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall value for money was excellent. I’d definitely recommend this hidden gem to anyone visiting St. Petersburg.

Usadba Derzhavina Hotel

This hidden gem in the outskirts of St. Petersburg is truly special—quiet, charming, and surprisingly underrated. The hotel is nestled within a historic estate, offering guests unlimited access to the beautiful gardens and grounds. I loved how peaceful it felt while still being just a short distance from the city. Booking was simple through the platform, and payment was made on arrival—very convenient. Breakfast was served in a lovely greenhouse setting, not a buffet but thoughtfully prepared with fresh local touches. Plus, staying here gave me a 20% discount on visits to other estates in the Pushkin network—a fantastic bonus for culture lovers. If you're looking for a serene, authentic experience with a touch of Russian elegance, this place is a must-visit.

The Faces Historical Center Hotel

This hotel is absolutely outstanding—clean, well-maintained, and perfectly located in the heart of St. Petersburg. We stayed in both the standard and deluxe rooms, and both were excellent in terms of comfort and quality. The staff went above and beyond with their friendly and attentive service—always ready to help without being intrusive. What truly stands out is the location: everything you’d want to see—from historic landmarks to top-rated cafes and restaurants—is just a short walk away. Whether you're here for culture, food, or simply relaxation, this place makes it easy. The attention to detail and overall experience earned every point on the rating. A must-stay for anyone visiting the city.

Tchaikovsky House

I recently stayed at Tchaikovsky House and couldn’t be more impressed. Located right in the heart of Saint Petersburg, the hotel is incredibly convenient for getting around—just steps from public transport and metro stations, making it easy to reach major attractions within 5 to 15 minutes. The room was modest in size but beautifully designed with a cozy, homely feel. Everything was thoughtfully arranged: a comfortable bed, high-quality linens, and a modern shower with strong water pressure—perfect for a refreshing start to the day. I especially appreciated the kettle with a variety of tea options and complimentary bottled water. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, offering great recommendations for nearby restaurants and shops—felt like local friends rather than just hotel personnel. Breakfast was served as a buffet with a simple but fresh selection: homemade pastries, fruits, salads, pancakes, and porridge. Coffee was made to order—rich, aromatic, and just the way I like it. While food choices weren’t extensive, everything tasted fresh and satisfying for a morning boost. The interior blends industrial loft elements with natural wood accents, creating a calm, inviting atmosphere. Overall, this place delivers excellent value for money. It’s ideal for couples or solo travelers looking for a quiet, personalized stay without the hassle of big chain hotels. If you’re after a heartfelt, authentic experience in a well-located spot, Tchaikovsky House is absolutely worth considering—and I’ll definitely be back.
