This hotel's location is absolutely unbeatable. Right next to the Maritime Museum, it's just a short 10-minute walk to Little Italy and the USS Midway Museum—perfect for exploring without needing to rely on transportation. The property itself is spacious with plenty of parking available, which made our stay incredibly convenient, especially with family in tow. Clean rooms, friendly staff, and an excellent balance of comfort and value. I’d definitely return and recommend this spot to anyone visiting San Diego.

Even though the elevators are a bit outdated, the staff are friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. Housekeeping did an excellent job—the room was spotless and freshly cleaned every day. Parking costs $25 per day, which is a bit steep, but considering how convenient the location is and how much value you get in terms of comfort and amenities, it’s totally worth it. Overall, this is a top-notch choice for travelers who want a peaceful stay close to major attractions.

Had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel—so much fun and great service! James, the staff member we interacted with, was incredibly friendly and had such a great sense of humor. He took time to chat, get to know us, and made our experience feel personal and warm. The location is perfect—right next to Cracker Barrel and Wendy’s, just across the street from Waffle House and a nice steakhouse. Plus, every night, guests 21 and over get three free alcoholic drinks, plus complimentary dinner and breakfast—what a deal! Clean rooms, excellent value, and a welcoming atmosphere. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting San Diego, especially if you’re looking for comfort, convenience, and a little bit of fun in your stay.

I'm giving this place a solid 5-star review! The hostel is clean, welcoming, and perfectly located for exploring downtown San Diego—super easy to get around by public transit. That said, I do need to mention something that concerned me during check-in: the front desk staff asked for my credit card, wrote down all the information by hand, and even removed the CVV protection sticker on the back of the card. It felt really risky and made me uneasy about potential fraud or misuse. While everything turned out fine, I’d strongly recommend the team reconsider this practice for guest safety and peace of mind.
