The overall experience was exceptional, and with a perfect 10/10 rating, I’d definitely return and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Los Angeles.
InterContinental - Los Angeles Downtown
First day in LA, and staying at this InterContinental was an absolute surprise! I was assigned to the 61st floor with a stunning city view—so much better than expected. The location is perfect: walking distance to convenience stores and fast food spots, and public transit is just around the corner. Sadly, my tight schedule meant I didn’t get to enjoy the pool, but the amenities throughout the hotel are top-notch. What really stood out was the value for money—this price for a high-floor room with such great views? Definitely worth it. A small downside: the lobby is on the 70th floor, so you have to take the elevator up there first, then go down to your room—slightly inconvenient. Also, valet parking comes with an extra fee of about $80 per night, which pushes the total cost close to $250 for the room alone. Still, despite these minor drawbacks, the overall experience was fantastic. I’d absolutely stay here again.

Location-wise, it's incredibly convenient: just a short walk to major attractions and surrounded by great dining options. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the cleanliness and overall service quality are top-notch. From the ambiance to the attention to detail, every aspect feels premium. I’d definitely come back here on my next visit to Los Angeles—it’s hard to beat for comfort, style, and value.

It felt a bit unexpected, almost as if they’re discouraging guests from bringing in their own food and pushing them toward dining at the hotel’s restaurant instead. Still, that minor downside doesn’t take away from the overall quality. The hotel feels safe, clean, and well-maintained—perfect for a family vacation. The location is unbeatable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. If you're visiting Universal Studios, this is definitely one of the best places to stay, and despite the microwave charge, we’d stay here again without hesitation.
